MACERICH’S KIERLAND COMMONS TO WELCOME SHAKE SHACK IN 2016
One-of-a-kind Kierland Commons, Macerich’s market-leading retail property in the fast-growing corridor where Phoenix and Scottsdale meet, today announced it will welcome Shake Shack®, the modern “roadside” burger stand that is shaking up the world of “better” burgers, in 2016.
The addition of Shake Shack will enhance the property’s powerful restaurant roster, which includes great names such as: Bar NoRTH, Bobby’s, Chloe’s Corner, Mastro’s Ocean Club, NoRTH Italia, P.F. Chang’s, RA Sushi Bar Restaurant, The Cheesecake Factory, The Greene House, Postino, Snooze, an A.M. Eatery and ZINC BISTRO.
Beyond the property’s well-deserved reputation as a true dining destination, Kierland Commons offers stellar retail attractions including Anthropologie, Arhaus, Athleta, Cos Bar, Crate & Barrel, Eileen Fisher, Madewell, Michael Kors, Orvis, PB Teen and Pottery Barn Kids, Sur La Table, Tommy Bahama, Vera Bradley and many others. The one-of-a-kind, 430,000 square-foot mixed-use outdoor lifestyle center is also home to office space and The Plaza Lofts.

The Kierland Commons Shake Shack will have all the Shack classics, as well as select frozen custard “concretes” featuring local ingredients. Through its mission to Stand For Something Good®, Shake Shack will donate 5 percent of proceeds from one of the concretes to a local Phoenix charitable partner.
Shake Shack is a modern day “roadside” burger stand known for its 100% all-natural, antibiotic-free Angus beef burgers (no hormones added ever), griddled-crisp flat-top dogs, fresh-made frozen custard, crispy crinkle cut fries, and more. Created by noted New York City restaurateur Danny Meyer to be a fun and lively community gathering place, Shake Shack has earned a cult-like following around the world.
