Friday Bites with Patrick Duncan

As a 4th generation farmer, Patrick Duncan has worked hard to create a community among growers and restaurants, not only with his high quality produce but with his popular “Farmer in the House” dining series. The dining series is now in its 10th year and Patrick is set to wow Valley diners with 10 dinners in 10 different venues this year.Friday Bites with Patrick Duncan

Each chef involved in the dinners will create a one night menu that will utilize Duncan’s Trading Company’s seasonal offerings which will be paired with selected wines. Proceeds from the dinners will be donated to the Association of Arizona Food Banks.

These dinners are a once in a lifetime experience and something that you will be telling friends about for some time to come. The dinners take place in the spring so be sure to stay tuned for a complete list as soon as it is released.

Best patio| Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn
Beautiful, historic former private residence of famed western artist Lon Megargee, the patio is shaded by giant Mesquite trees, with a large, peaceful fountain as well. Recently returned chef Jeremy Pacheco is adding an outdoor kitchen to enhance the delicious, regional cuisine.

Authentic Arizona| El Chorro Lodge
Many of us who are native Arizonans grew up dining at El Chorro. The renovations and upgrades of a few years ago, have only improved this uniquely Arizona dining experience, which is a combination of traditional dishes, with modern touches as well.

Old Standard| Vincent Guerithault’s on Camelback
Vincent and Leevon Guerithault bring old world hospitality to Phoenix. As the unofficial “father of fine dining” in the valley, Vincent’s marriage of French technique and southwestern ingredients continues to be a brilliant combination, and the world class wine list more than justify the longevity of this gem.

Unique| Razz’s Restaurant
Razz Kamnitzer’s German/Venezuelan upbringing, and his proclivity for world travel every summer, influence an ever changing international menu. His small plates menu sets the tone for tapas statewide, and his stuffed “calabacitas con flor”, remain the valley’s very best each spring.

Impress out of towners| Binkley’s Restaurant
Kevin and Amy Binkley turned the valley dining scene upside down when they opened their Cave Creek restaurant. Kevin’s menu changes nightly, and he relishes experimenting with ingredients and techniques, creating one of a kind dishes never before seen in the valley. That cuisine of this complexity is created in the heart of “cowboy steak country”, astounds visitors.
