I cannot think of a more refreshing drink on a hot summer day or a cocktail that is quintessentially Arizona than a sweet and tart margarita. Whether you like it on rocks or frozen, with or without salt you will certainly find a version you’ll adore at the National Margarita Day Celebration at the OH Pool at Scottsdale’s Hotel Valley Ho Sunday, February 22nd.
El Jimador and Casa Herradura Tequila are teaming up and will be taking over the OH Pool for a free daytime party. As long as you are 21 you’ll be able to enjoy a mariachi band, a live DJ, cocktail samples, tequila education stations and food pairings from the resort’s executive chef, Charles Wiley.
How to guarantee you get the most out of this National Margarita Day Celebration:
- Call a ride. You don’t want to end your night with a party at Sheriff Joe’s.
- Be ready to learn. There will be tons of educators on hand and at the ready to take you on a journey of the Margarita; from the origins of some tequilas, the history of the margarita along with a variety of sampling of flavors from sweet to spicy.
- This event pretty much wraps up Arizona Cocktail Week, so be ready to party your face off!
The party begins at 12pm and will run until 4pm and the event is free to public, well the public that is over 21, of course.
