So you think you can cook?? Get ready for the chance to prove it on national television–let your culinary chops shine at the upcoming Open Casting Call for MasterChef Season 5 here in Phoenix! The show is looking for amateur home cooks (no professionals allowed), so don’t be intimidated if you have no formal training or have gained most of your cooking knowledge from Grandma’s vintage recipe book. Whether your friends know you for your eleborate, multiple-course white linen dinner parties or rave about your ability to grill up a really stellar burger–they want to hear from you!
The Open Casting Call is set for Saturday, October 5th from 10am-6pm at the Embassy Suites Biltmore. All you have to bring with you is your best dish to serve to the judges. You’ll have a few minutes to plate your dish at the casting call, but there won’t be a kitchen to cook or warm up your dish, so plan accordingly. Be sure to bring your own dishes and utensils too, if you’ll need them.
It is strongly recommended that you pre-register for the casting call. Find the application on the MasterChef casting website at masterchefcasting.com. You’ve got a whole month to prepare, so get cooking!
