Four for the Weekend

For about the last two months I have been doing Facebook Live videos letting you know my picks for the top four spots you should check out, our Four For the Weekend series. In order to make sure that no one misses a bite, I thought I should start cross posting – so here we are! I hope you find it helpful!

Wondering what you should be doing this weekend? I have four delicious and delightful suggestions!

Where |Arizona Biltmore| 2400 E. Missouri Ave. | Phoenix | 85016
What | Take a trip back in time with this Gatsby -themed event. The event will consist of  5 food stations which will include a variety of savory and sweet dishes along with copious amounts of craft beer. In addition to the amazing food and beers, there will also be dancing to live music, a silent auction and special recognition and awards for the brewers in attendance.

Phoenix Pizza Festival

When | Saturday, November 19 from 11am until 5pm
Where | Margaret T. Hance Park | 1201 N. 3rd St. | Phoenix
What | Pizza. That’s really all that I should have to say about this event, but for the sake of being informative, I’ll give you a bit more. Prepare yourself for a day of epic eating! There will be about 15 pizza vendors on hand doling out their best pies for all you hungry patrons. In addition to all the amazing pies on hand you can also expect live music, lawn games, a kid’s zone, beverages of the adult and non-adult variety, and so much more.
How Much | Entry into the Pizza Festival will be $10 and should be purchased sooner than later. Tickets are only available online.

Street Food Cinema Presents Mean Girls

When | Sunday, November 19, 2016 from 5pm until 8(ish)pm
Where | Steele Indian School Park| 300 E. Indian School Road | Phoenix | 85012
What | Pretty much anyone who has seen Mean Girls loved the film. I can’t think of a better way to watch it than in the park, surrounded by food trucks, and soaking up all of this great Fall weather at long last!
How Much | Reserved seating is available for $17 before the event and $20 at the door. General admission is $12 pre-event and $15 at the door. Children’s entrance is $6. Food truck prices vary based on the truck and selections.

The Monastery’s 7th Annual Chili CookOff

When | Sunday, November 20, 2016 from 2pm until 5pm
Where | 4810 E. McKellips Road | Mesa| 85215
What | Love to make chili? Have an impeccable recipe that is a shoe-in for first prize? On the other side of things, do you love all kinds of chili? Either way, the Monastery’s Chili Cook Off is for you! You can whip up your best version of chili and bring it out to be judged by lots of hungry patrons.
How Much | It does not appear that there is any cost associated with entering the chili cook-off. In order to participate in the judging, all you need to do is purchase chips, cornbread or rice.

No matter how you opt to spend your weekend, make sure that you have a great time and that you do it safely!
