There are a few schools of thought when it comes to golf. School one is that golf is synonymous with fitness. Getting out in the fresh air, walking the course and challenging your body with a variety of swings. The second school of thought is that golf is for socializing. Getting together with friends, lingering on the course for a few hours and sharing a scotch or two. The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa wants to meld these two schools of thought into a whole new one with their Fit Fore Scotch program.
This is a special one-of-a-kind half-day experience that will begin at the Resort’s acclaimed Fore-Max program at Agave. Fore-Max is a fitness class of sorts that lasts an hour and incorporates the fundamentals of stretching in addition to cardio exercises tailored to the participant’s specific needs. The workout lasts for an hour, after which you can refresh and relax at the Agave Spa.
After you come down from your workout and have fully refreshed, you’ll then enjoy 9 holes of golf at the acclaimed Westin Kierland Golf Club. The managed course, designed by Scott Miller, features 27 holes that form a complementary collection of nines. You’ll be able to enjoy the luxury of golf carts equipped with cooling misters. If you are looking for a more unique experience, you can opt to golf on a Segway, GolfBoard, or Golf Bike.
You’ll wrap up your Fit Fore Scotch program in the early evening with a private Scotch tasting. There will be a total of three Scotch whiskies at the resort’s Scotch Library. Here you’ll find specially trained Scotch Ambassadors who are at the ready to assist anyone from the Scotch newbie or seasoned aficionados in making the best personal choices from their collection of more than 250 different Scotch offerings.

If you take part in this special experience you’ll receive a divot tool, bag tag, a Kierland logo baseball cap, and an etched Scotch glass from the Scotch Library. On top of that, you’ll also have the opportunity to return to Agave within seven days and receive a complimentary 50-minute massage.
