Arts and Entertainment Abound at Annual Tempe Festival

Tempe Festival of the Arts Entertainment Schedule

From Friday, April 8th through Sunday, April 10th downtown Tempe will explode with eye catching art and the 350+ artisans who create it, many of whom have traveled across the country to attend this iconic Tempe festival. Art lovers can expect a wide range of arts, crafted goods and creations along with street entertainment, buskers and an exhilarating street festival vibe.

Now, in its 39th incarnation, the Spring Tempe of the Arts Festival has become an annual tradition not only for the attendees but also the artists who return each year to continue to connect with fellow artists and art lovers alike. Along with returning favorites, the Tempe Festival of the Arts also prides itself on continuing to enlist the talents of new and emerging artists to ensure each year shoppers can pick up pieces by their favorite artists and discover a diverse array of new art.

Vicki Fish, this year’s featured artist, travels the country attending art shows and festivals. Hailing from Montana, Vicki creates mixed media constructions using repurposed materials. Her whimsical designs often incorporate wings and other inspirations from animals and nature. Visitors can stop by AMUSEUM Brickyard for some creative fun and use special art materials to make a project inspired by the Birds and Beasts of Vicki Fish.

Art isn’t the only thing filling the downtown streets. The Tempe Festival goers will be delighted by the lineup of performers and acclaimed musicians. Live music will be taking place across two stages filling the open air festival with LIVE blues, jazz and bluegrass music. Cameo Circle at 5th and Mill Avenue will captivate audiences with interactive performances from acts such as Brazilian dance and Aerial Arts.
