It Must Be Fate

Fate Brewery named best beer bar and plans to celebrate with fan party

Brewery Plans Celebratory “Fan-Love Brew Bash” for March 12 Featuring Live Music and Three-Buck Fate Beers

When one of the nation’s foremost authorities on craft beer culture, the Brewers Association’s CraftBeer.com website, released its readership’s picks for the Best Beer Bar in Arizona, Scottsdale’s Fate Brewing Company bested hundreds of brew joints across the state to score the top spot.

But Owner Steve McFate has little time to enjoy the big win.

“Our passion fuels the breakneck speed of dreaming up and producing the more than 200 house-brewed beers in just three years,” says owner Steve McFate. “With our small-batch approach to brewing, there’s always something new to try with each visit.”

The sky-high number of rotating beers is just one reason McFate’s much-hyped operation continues to earn local and national love. The brew pub also champions impeccable hospitality, an ambitious food-lover’s menu and a stay-all-day vibe noticeable throughout the space.

Fate Brewing Company earned the top spot thanks to the hard work of its staff and the support of the local and national beer-drinking communities.

“CraftBeer.com readers know craft beer and 9,000 of them took the time to cast their vote rewarding their favorite beer bar in each state,” said Julia Herz, publisher of CraftBeer.com. “Cheers to each of the winners and the ever-increasing diversity of our local beer movement here in the U.S.”

McFate may make time for a celebratory toast, after all.

“It’s the fans,” he said. “They’re the reason we’re here every day doing what we love to do.”

On tap next for the award-winning brewpub is a “Fan-Love Brew Bash” set for Saturday, March 12, to thank supporters and industry pals for helping the brewery win the national nod. From 3pm to 6pm at Fate’s south Scottsdale location, select Fate beers will be specially priced at just $3 bucks a pint. Guests are invited to enjoy live music, food specials, giveaways, hourly beer tours and appearances by industry influencers and elected officials, among other draws.
