Feed your soul with Flavors of the West

Saying that the gents over at EaterAZ know how to rock a food festival is like saying that Guy Fieri or Anne Burrell know where to get the stiffest hair products or that Alton Brown knows the ins and outs of the Maillard Reaction. It’s a no brainer.

With huge notches on their belts, based on the successes of the Arizona Taco Festival, Arizona BBQ Festival and their affiliation with the Street Eats Festival, they are heading West for their Flavors of the West ‘culinary extravaganza’.

West Valley chefs and restaurants will be sharing their specialties and creations along Old Litchfield Road at the Litchfield Park Downtown on February 17th from 12pm to 6pm creating an atmosphere of community and family sharing great food, drinks and good times. This alone would be reason enough to gas up the car and make the trip, but there’s far more at stake with this festival.

EaterAZ is looking to raise money for Phoenix Children’s Hospital, who recently broke ground on a new facility in Avondale, with the hopes to raise at least $25,000 in order to help build one room in the new building and offer naming rights to that room in honor of Scott Thomas Clarke, a young West Valley leader.

Phoenix Children’s Hospital is one of the United States’ top children’s hospitals and the third largest children’s hospital in the country. If you have children, you hope that you never have to visit their award winner doctors but more than likely feel secure that they are there if you do.

In addition to knowing that you are contributing to a great cause, considering the over 25 West Valley restaurants, live music, cooking demonstrations, a kid’s zone, silent auction and fun contests along with the weather being so ridiculously agreeable lately, this will surely be an amazing event. Did I mention that Tram Mai of EVB Live is the official emcee of the event?

Tickets to Flavors of the West are $45 for General Admission and $100 for a VIP ticket. VIP status gets you access to the VIP area, special catering and unlimited drinks, lounge seating and entire event access. Children 12 and under are through the door for $10.

Visit the event website for more information and to purchase tickets and hopefully we’ll see you there!
