Omaha Steaks offers meaty gifts for the holidays

With only just a month till Christmas, it’s time to get cranking on your holiday shopping to-do list. Maybe I’m just a hard-core food lover, but in my eyes there is no gift better received than food. Good food. Omaha Steaks has several gourmet food gifts perfect for your red meat-eating friends and families. With several variations (some include poultry, pork and seafood too), there’s plenty to choose from and no matter how picky your recipient is they are sure to find a few gems in these sets.
Consider one of their meat gift baskets like The Grand Grillers Gift which includes a feast of 2 filet mignons, 2 top sirloins, 4 boneless chicken breasts, 4 Omaha Steaks burgers, 4 boneless pork chops, 4 gourmet jumbo franks and 4 stuffed baked potatoes. Seriously, that’s a ton of food! What more could you want?

If your budget is a bit more modest, try the Stocking Stuffer Combo ($39.99, regularly $103), a sampler made up of 6 bacon-wrapped top sirloins, 4 Omaha Steaks burgers and 6 stuffed baked potatoes.

Or, ‘meat’ in the middle (pun intended) with The Ideal Gift ($69.99, regularly $151) which includes a nice sampler of some of their finest. You (or your recipient) will receive:

With a nice mix of proteins, the included stuffed baked potato side dish and dessert, I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t want to receive this gift for the holidays.

I tested a sample pack recently and though mine was slightly different than The Ideal Gift listed above, several items were the same. You’ll receive your items individually wrapped and frozen and organized neatly into clearly labeled boxes with an included cooking chart for the red meats. The 5oz Filet Mignons are incredibly tender and if you follow the suggested cooking times carefully, you’ll end up with a nice, juicy steak to savor. I grilled mine and finished with a drizzle of balsamic and extra virgin olive oil – so delicious!

The 5oz Top Sirloins are perfectly portioned and cooked up nicely on my indoor grill pan. A simple rub of dried thyme, salt and pepper added a beautiful crust and really complemented the rich flavor of the meat. Melt a dollop of butter atop at the end of cooking, and it’s a meal almost too pretty to eat.

Omaha Steaks 5oz. Top Sirloin with their fluffy Stuffed Baked Potato on the side.

I also tried the boneless pork chops which I really enjoyed and the Omaha Steaks Burgers. The Chocolate Lover’s Cake was rich and indulgent and decorated really pretty too – pretty enough to serve your dinner guests. For the quality and value, I might have to grab up a couple of these gift sets to stock my own freezer!

Aside from sample packs, you can also order items individually from the website. They have an extensive selection of red meats, seafood, poultry, veal, pork and lamb, and plenty of meal accouterments.
