October heats up with Celebrity Chef Cook Off and Cocktail Challenge

I am always a sucker for a charity event, and especially any cause that exists solely to protect children. Next month will be an event that I hope to see you all at; Two Gals Event Planning & Promotions and The Starbright Foundation will be hosting the first annual Celebrity Chef Cook Off and Cocktail Challenge. The event will be held on October 20th from 6-10 pm at the Sub-Zero Wolf Living Showroom in Scottsdale.

First off, The Starbright Foundation is a non-profit organization, dedicated to rescuing our valley’s children from abusive situations. Their goal is to speak out for children whose voices are silenced by fear who suffer alone and afraid without hope. It’s pretty heavy stuff, but incredibly important and touching. This organization works tirelessly to find, rescue and heal children in unspeakable circumstances. Starbright Foundation’s vision is to build uniquely designed “safe houses” which provide maximum safety for endangered children. They provide hope through crisis counseling and trauma recovery programs offering new beginnings for children who are survivors of cultic, ritual, clergy, sex trafficking, incest, physical and mental abuse. For many children it is the first time in their life where they can learn to trust adults and be treated with the dignity and respect they deserve. It will help them to learn that it does not have to hurt to be a child, and that there are people in the community who care about them and want them to know that they matter.

Your attendance at this event will help assure the success of “Celebrity Chef Cook Off and Cocktail Challenge,” raising awareness and much needed funds for children who need our help.

The fundraiser will feature several dishes from the Valley’s star chefs and amazing cocktails from top mixologists. Some of those Valley stars participating are Lou Swartz, Capital Grille, Renegade Tap and Kitchen, Whiskey Ranch BBQ, Heaven’s Gluten Free Bakehouse, Tutti Santi, Dirty Tequila, Chop-n-Wok and Double Bartending…and that’s just to start! Attendees will be treated to live jazz by Mood Indigo, as well as a silent auction and much more.

Be a child’s hero and join us! Tickets are $125 per person which includes complimentary valet, 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, 3 desserts and 4 cocktails. This is an indoor event and cocktail attire is required. For reservations or more information, contact Two Gals Event online or call Melissa at 602-568-5313 and/or Suzie Price at 623-204-2255.
