Foodies Like Us and Arcadia Fine Wine present Foodie Fight 2 on Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the spectacular Sub Zero and Wolf Showroom.
Chef Matt Carter (Zinc Bistro and The Mission) and Chef Eugenia Theodosopoulos (Essence Bakery) will act as Sous Chefs to local foodies Ty Largo and Joel LaTondress during the culinary bout. Food Network star Robin Miller will emcee the event where each team will have 1 hour to prepare 3 dishes using a mystery ingredient.
Judges Joe Johnston (Joe’s Real BBQ, Joe’s Farm Grill and Liberty Market) and television personality Andi Barness will be joined by a third judge, chosen via raffle, to decide the victor. Foodies looking to serve as the third judge may purchase individual raffle tickets for $3 or 2 tickets for $5. All proceeds from the raffle will benefit Careers through Culinary Arts Program (C-CAP).
C-CAP, founded by cookbook author and educator Richard Grausman, is a non-profit organization designed to enhance the culinary arts curriculum in public schools. Since 1990, C-CAP has worked nationally to better prepare underserved students for college and career opportunities in the restaurant and hospitality industry. Tickets priced at $40 per person for Foodie Fight 2 include light appetizers, desserts and wine tasting. Space is limited.
