If you love wings as much as we do, you likely have an arsenal of hot sauces in your fridge and a killer recipe that you find yourself returning to again and again. Now is the time to put your best wing recipe on display and vie for the title of Half Moon Sauce Boss.
The popular Valley restaurant Half Moon Windy City Sports Grill is looking for the best home cook to share their best wing sauce recipe and in exchange the top recipes will be rewarded generously.
First Place Prize
One free pound of wings every day for a year at either of the Half Moon locations, $250 cash prize and their sauce featured on a future Half Moon menu.
Runner Up Prize
One free pound of wings every day for a year at either of the Half Moon locations.
People’s Choice Prize
One free pound of wings every day for a year at either of the Half Moon locations, $100 cash prize and their sauce featured on a future Half Moon menu.
How can I enter the Half Moon Sauce Boss contest?
- Those wanting to compete for top honors need to submit their recipes to sauceboss@halfmoonsportsgrill.com in PDF form by 5pm on February 28th.
- All recipes must be complete with ingredients and preparation instructions, yielding one gallon of wing sauce. All wing sauce varieties will be considered.
- The five top finalists will release the rights to their wing sauce recipe and must be present at the final Half Moon Sauce Boss competition at 6:30pm on Monday, March 13th.
If you are not looking to compete but want to be around for the final judgement, make sure to be at the Highland Half Moon location at 6:30pm on March 13th. The culmination of the Half Moon Sauce Boss competition will coincide with the restaurants Monday Wing Madness where you can enjoy the restaurants wings for $.60 a piece from 7pm until 10pm. (Minimum order of 6 is required.)
