SumoMaya Debuts “Bottomless Brunch”

Brunch has developed from only a late-morning meal to an experience of epic culinary proportions. Never one to be outdone by other mid-morning meal options, SumoMaya, located at 6560 N. Scottsdale Road, debuts their “bottomless brunch.” For $39 per person, guests can revel in a seemingly infinite collection of the finest food and beverage choices that diners have begun to crave at SumoMaya. Those abstaining from cocktails can enjoy brunch for just $29.

What better way to kick off brunch than with a bottomless liquid libation, including favorites like Margaritas, Bloody Marys, Micheladas and Mimosas? Once guests have settled in with a daytime drink, their appetites can be indulged with a selection from SumoMaya’s “First Round” options, served family-style — including a basket of locally made Sweet Mexican Pastries; 3 Leches Oatmeal Brulee; Fresh Fruit, Yogurt + Granola or Smoked Salmon Lox; and Black Bean Hummus with plantain chips. “Second Round” options include tempting dishes such as the ever-popular Guacamole, with choice of Pomegranate or Ribeye, served with tostadas; Bread Migas + Chorizo; Huevos Revueltos Al Albañil with scrambled eggs; and a collection of Sushi Rolls selected by Executive Chef Roberto Madrid.

Next, diners can select an entrée of choice, though narrowing down that selection may prove easier said than done. Top-of-the morning meal lovers can indulge in gastronomical creations including the Sweet Potato Waffle with sliced banana; Waygu Steak + Eggs with corn arepa, poached eggs and hollandaise; or Market Vegetable Scramble with crispy quinoa, to name a few. An array of traditionally mid-day meal choices are also offered including Enchiladas Suizas with chicken; the Mexico City Burger with ham, queso Oaxaca and roasted jalapeños; and Asian-inspired creations like Kimchee + Egg Fried Rice with mushroom and Korean chili aioli, and Pork “Al Pastor” Pad Thai.

Finally, guests may want to relax their belts, literally, as they round out brunch with one of SumoMaya’s desserts, served family style, such as the Liquid Cheesecake Brulee or the Buñuelos — cinnamon donuts, sweetened with condensed milk and dulce de leche.
