The Mollen Mile is coming up, and that means it is time for the t-shirt design competition. Do you have an expert doodler or aspiring artists at home? Are you dying to unleash your artistic side? Put all of that visionary talent to work and design the official t-shirt for the 2016 Mollen Mile.
Artists of all ages are being commissioned to submit their original t-shirt designs for a chance to have their work featured on the official race shirts. The deadline for the design submission is September 30th and all you need to do to enter is submit your design to the closest Mojo Yogurt to you.
What are the rules for the t-shirt design contest?
- The design must be proper for all ages
- The design should be unisex
- Your design should include at least one depiction of a vegetable and exercise
- Your design must include the wording “Mollen Mile”
You can create your design ahead of time or if you’re like me and work best under the pressure of a deadline, swing into the Tempe Mojo Yogurt location on September 24th between noon and 2pm where you can complete your design there and then turn it in. A bonus of visiting the Tempe Mojo Yogurt location on September 24th is that 20% of the proceeds that day will be donated straight to the Mollen Foundation. If you can’t make it to any of Mojo locations to submit your design, you can also email it to paigemollen@mollenfoundation.org is necessary. (But the event will be way more fun than an email!)
Tell Me More About the Mollen Mile!
The Mollen Mile will welcome more than 1,000 children ready to take part in a one-mile fun run. Dr. Art Mollen created the run back in 1976 with the goal of bringing the public together and encouraging healthy behaviors and promote fitness for all. Over the past 41 years, the event has raised funds for a variety of non-profit organizations. The Mollen Mile is just one part of the 3TV Phoenix 10k and Half-Marathon and is one of the longest running 10ks in Arizona. The official run takes place on November 6th and if you register on September 24th at the event, you can receive a 30% discount off your fees.
What Does the Mollen Foundation Do?
