JBF Phoenix Taste America Line-Up

The James Beard Foundation’s Taste America is coming to Phoenix in September. The JBF Phoenix events that are lined up are stunning and we are so excited to check them all out.

The Taste America event highlights the best and brightest chefs in the Valley and tickets just went on sale for our local event. This year the program will make stops in Boston, Charleston, Chicago, Kansas City, Los Angeles, New Orleans, Portland as well as our backyard. Each city featured will enjoy an epic dinner that features a number of talented local chefs and some of their most celebrated dishes as well as a four-course dinner that will nothing short of incredible. This amazing dinner will be a collaboration of a Taste America All-Star as well as a local star chef.

We previously let you know that Amanda Freitag is our local Taste America All-Star chef, but what we didn’t know at the time was the rest of the exciting line-up. Never fear, my foodie friends; I have the whole schedule for you today.

Thursday, September 22

JBF Phoenix Taste America Welcome Reception| Little Cleo’s Seafood Legend at the Yard

This event will begin at 6pm and is the kick-off for the three-day event. You’re invited to enjoy a delicious cocktail and a tasting reception at Little Cleo’s. The cost to attend is $75 per person and includes cocktails and the tasting reception.

Friday, September 23

JBF Phoenix Taste America| A Night of Culinary Stars in Phoenix

This event will begin with a cocktail and a tasting reception at 7pm with the full four-course dinner starting at 8pm at The Camby.

Friday evening will begin with a tasting reception that will feature bites from Arizona’s finest chefs. The four-course dinner will feature a unique experience designed by All-Star Amanda Freitag, Chef Christopher Gross (of Christopher’s and Crush Lounge) and host Chef Dushyant Singh.

Gabe Bertaccini, Kelly Fletcher, Sacha Levine, Jeff Smedstad and Matthew Taylor will be preparing cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for the reception.

Desserts will be crafted by Tracy Dempsey, Eugenia Theodosopoulos and Helen Yung.

This one-of-a-kind dinner will cost $275 per person and includes the cocktail reception, dinner and access to the live and silent auctions at the event.

Saturday, September 24

JBF Phoenix Taste America| Free Cooking Classes, Book Signing by Amanda Freitag and Christopher Gross

Saturday’s event will take place at the Keirland Commons Sur La Table. Guests can enjoy free cooking demonstrations, cookbook signing and tastings of the demonstrated dishes.

Space is limited so reservations will not be taken until September 9^th.
