World of Beer to open in Tempe: You’re gonna need a bigger beer budget

Fifty-eight beers on draft.

Five. Hundred. Beers.

Five. Hundred. Beers.

Is this heaven?

Close.

This is World of Beer in Tempe, set to open on 8/8.

Boasting 58 rotating beers on tap (from more than 40 countries) and MORE THAN 500 beers available by the bottle, the Tampa based company is set to open it’s first West Coast location in the historic 100 year old Tempe National Bank Building located at 526 S Mill Ave.

For private parties, or your fantasy football draft, the original bank vault is available as a ‘Safe Room’, which will have televisions and seating for up to 15 people.

Speaking of football, and honestly, I never stop speaking of football, World of Beer plans to offer complimentary tailgate food for customers on Sundays while you watch one of the 23 50-inch TVs. Here, I’ll repeat that: 500 beers, free food and two dozen 50-inch TVs. Looks like you have a new Sunday hangout spot.

The plans coming out of the gate for opening week are fast and furious with live music on opening night, Ladies night ‘Pint Out’ (half off select drafts) on Thursday August 9th, more live music Friday, August 10th, and their very first local “Brewery Spotlight” with a collaboration between Four Peaks Brewing and food truck favorite Short Leash Hot Dogs. Catch one of these events, catch all of these events, I may just move in.
