Red Cross & Restaurants Unite for Japan

We have all see the devastation and destruction that the earthquake and tsunami have caused Japan.  If you are like us, you have struggled to resolve this and to figure out what you can do to help. Several Valley restaurants have been doing the same.

Sprinkles Cupcakes in Scottsdale has as well and they will be donating 100% of the proceeds of their Red Cross Red Velvet Cupcakes on March 22nd.  All the proceeds will go to the American Red Cross to benefit the Japan Earthquake and the Pacific Tsunami.

Stingray Sushi has created a “Recovery Roll”, a special roll consisting of spicy tuna and avocado topped with seared salmon with spicy sesame honey mustard and scallions.  All the proceeds from your purchase of this $12.00 roll will go to the Red Cross. The Recovery Roll is available at both Valley locations.

Nobuo at Teeter House and Roka Akor are also participating with donating an unspecified percentage of revenue from March 17th through March 31st.  Add to that, the Kapoor Foundation will be matching the funds raised from the restaurant.

Let’s all do our part to help out, either by patronizing these spots or by contacting the Red Cross directly.

It’s at times like these that we are reminded how precious and fragile life is and that we can all make a difference.
