September 26th, at Sanctuary Resort & Spa, Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation hosts its 22nd annual culinary event. Eleven of the valley’s finest chefs and restaurants will prepare an exquisite meal, each based on a different region of the country, for guests of the event. Proceeds (100% of ticket sales) benefit Share Our Strength, a national organization working hard to make sure no kid goes hungry. Here’s how it works:
With the purchase of an entry ticket, you’ll be seated at your table for 10. One of the eleven participating chefs will create a 5-course meal (wine and cocktail pairings included, as well as offerings from Pellegrino and Stella Artois) based on a different region of the country. Before dinner, you’re invited to a cocktail reception and silent auction.
J.E. Pizarro, Taste of the Nation Arizona Chair speaks about the event: “We’re honored to be part of this nationwide movement to end childhood hunger in America. Taste of the Nation brings together the finest of Arizona’s culinary world and helps the children in our community who suffer from hunger every day.” Charities benefiting from this year’s event include The Association of Arizona Food Banks and St. Mary’s Food Bank.
