What can you expect from the Festival this year along the lines of food? There are several new additions this year like the debut of food truck involvement, the new Festival After Dark, local craft beers and an assortment of Arizona wines.

The Grilled Cheese Truck will be on hand with their delicious melty treats. They have far more to offer than the traditional grilled cheese sandwiches that mom made when you were small though that is an option. They also provide elevated versions of the classic like their Brie Melt on Cranberry Walnut Bread. This option combines double cream brie, sliced pears, fresh thyme, toasted almonds and wildflower honey. If you have a touch of a sweet tooth, make sure to get the Mom’s Apple Pie Melt. This sweet melt is made up of sharp cheddar with brown butter caramelized apples and candied walnuts on French bread. They also have tomato soup, mac & cheese, tater tots among other sides.

The Maine Lobster Lady will also be on hand with her bounty from their summer trip to Maine. Every summer they head to Maine to catch their supply for the food truck for the rest of the year. You can feast upon a Traditional Maine Lobster Roll, Lobster Bisque, Seafood Chowda, Lobster-Lobster Mac & Cheese along with salad and sweet options (whoopee pies, anyone?). The Traditional Lobster roll features succulent Maine lobster chunks chilled with a touch of lemon aioli all snug in a buttered grilled roll.

There are several other components to the 47th Fall Tempe Festival of the Arts and we are eager to share them all with you. Stay tuned for more details and an incredible contest where you’ll be able to win some great prizes.
