Get a front row seat for Coppola’s latest release

A blockbuster release that only took 40 years to become a reality. While best known for creating such highly regarded films like the Godfather series, Apocalypse Now, American Graffiti and Rumblefish and the winner of five Oscars, he’s hoping to be world-renowned for his Inglenook Label wines.

In 2011, Francis Ford Coppola was able to reunite Inglenook’s original estate and vineyard under one name and is quickly bringing it back to its former celebrity by merging it with his Rubicon brand and returning it to the original estate name. By hiring some of the top names as far as estate managers go, he hopes to bring these wines to the world and the forefront of the industry. He has acquired Philippe Bascaules, previously of Chateau Margaux in Bordeaux, to assist him to return the Inglenook brand to its 1940s glory.

You have the opportunity to be one of the first to experience the fruit of the combined efforts at Arrowhead Grill’s Inglenook Wine Dinner. On October 22nd at 6pm, you can be part of the exclusive tasting event. The dishes of the evening have been specially created by Chef Charles W. Schwerd to match perfectly with the Inglelnook wines.

“By starting with pairings like Rubicon’s flagship white wine Blanchaneaux 2010 served with Cypress Grove Chevre Fresh Figs and RC Reserve Syrah 2009, a wine known for its dark berry, chocolate and vanilla flavors, served with Alaskan Halibut Cheeks in a Morel Mushroom Parmesan, those who attend can’t help but be impressed,” Schwerd said.   The third course will pair the standout Zinfandel Edizione Pennino 2009 with Homemade Shepherd’s Pie Sausage with two mustards, followed by Inglenook’s Cask Cabernet 2008 and Fig-stuffed Quail with Hominy Succotash.

The coup-de-tat of the evening will be the final pairing of the vintner’s Rubicon Estate 2008, a vintage red with dark, ripe cherry and vanilla flavors and notes of floral and spice, served with Kobe New York Strip Steak and Truffle Smashed Potatoes. “We’re pulling out all the stops and making this a night people can look back on with great pleasure and satisfaction,” said Schwerd.

The Inglenook wine and dinner will offer limited seating at 45 guests and requires reservations. Cost is $100 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Guests must be at least 21 years of age. RSVP by calling 623-566-2224.
