So… Who’s Hungry?

“Hey man, you interested in eating a shit ton of food for absolutely no reason at all?” – That’s the message I sent a buddy of mine to see if he was interested in joining me for the Big Earls BBQLeg of Beast Feast Competition” on May 24th. The skinny on it is teams of 6 will compete to see which team can eat 30 pounds of food the fastest.

Wait, what?

30.
Pounds.
Of Food.

Most people look at that statement and think, “That’s insane!” I look at it and think, “Hell. Yes!” So I immediately put out the call for people who wanted to try to tackle… Wait are you with me? I know, I know, THIRTY POUNDS!

Anyway, I started rounding up buddies who were interested in trying to consume 5 pounds of food each. It’s a ridiculous challenge, I know, but hey makes for one hell of a great story, am I right?

The breakdown, according to Mouth By Southwest, is as such:

Wheeew. I’m getting the meat sweats just thinking about it. Let’s put this in perspective. You know those Texas steakhouses with the 64oz sirloin? This is SEVEN AND A HALF of those. You know that meal you just watch Adam Richman eat on ManVsFood? This is like 10 of those. You remember Calista Flockhart? This is like 2 of her! (Numbers approximate, could be 3 Calistas)

A WHOLE MESS OF VITTLES.

Am I entering this competition? Oh, there is no doubt. Will I make a damn fool of myself? There is already a rich history of that, so no problem there. Just pray there are no reversals of fortune, cuz that. aint. pretty.
