Super Ball 2017: Where Rhinestones Meet the Red Zone

Dress in your favorite sports team inspired cocktail attire and make plans now to party where Where Rhinestones Meet the Red Zone in the Super Ball 2017 on Saturday, January 28, 2017 all to benefit patients fighting cancer.

Chaired by Molly Stockley and Carrie Martz, the Assistance In Healthcare (AIH) is hosting its 3rd Annual Super Ball homecoming sports gala to benefit Valley cancer patients in need of financial assistance for non-medical costs when the price of extended medical care creates economic adversity.

Attire is cocktail or gowns for the ladies (in your favorite sports colors, if desired) and men are encouraged to come in their favorite sports colors, attire, or suits emphasizing devotion to your favored team.

Presented by Cancer Treatment Centers of America and Arizona Cardinals, the event will be held at Chateau Luxe located at 1175 E. Lone Cactus Dr. in Phoenix.

The night begins with cocktails and raffle prizes at 6:00 p.m., followed by a wine and cheese tasting and then a feast of decadent selections for dinner. Throughout the affair, be prepared to listen to the original female rock electric string quartet, Phat Strad and dance all night to Arizona’s own, Smashed, live on the dance floor.  Opportunities to purchase raffle tickets for amazing gifts and bid on one of a kind, silent auction items ranging from experiences and collectibles.  The night wraps up with desserts and drinks by the Homecoming Bonfire pit.

Super Ball 2017 will also honor 38-year-old Cancer Patient Josh Webb and his mother/caregiver, Pansy Willis, who stood by his side and never gave up hope trying to find treatment for her son.  Webb suffered from a rare form of cancer and was battling 28-tumors that had formed around his heart.  Webb is one of the several hundred recipients around the country who received $250 a month from AIH, while he was undergoing cancer treatments.

“Not only is Josh’s story special, but so is the way his mother sought out treatment and never gave up hope searching for the right doctors to treat her son,” said Carrie Martz.  “It is truly special that Josh is still with us today and that we are able to give him this $250 grant each month so he can buy groceries and pay for his car while he seeks treatment.”

Webb and his mom will travel from Alabama to share their cancer journey at Super Ball 2017 and how AIH is making a difference in the lives of cancer patients around the country.

“There really is no gala in the country quite like Super Ball 2017,” said Co-Chair Molly Stockley.  “Not only is this a memorable night of fun, but it brings a tremendous amount of needed support for cancer patients around the Valley who are so incredibly thankful for the generosity of our community and sponsors.”

Super Ball 2017 is presented by Cancer Treatment Centers of America and its team of physicians.  Other sponsors include: Medical Diagnostic Imaging Group and Okland Construction and in partnership with the Arizona Cardinals and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Tickets are $350 per person with tables of 10 available for $3,500 along with additional sponsorship opportunities for Super Ball 2017.
