Tikka Drive Review: Is Chandler’s Indian Drive-Thru Worth It?
If you came for the short version of this Tikka Drive review, here it is: I went back.
Indian food from a drive-through window sounds like it could involve some compromises. Less flavor. Smaller portions. Naan with the personality of a paper plate. Tikka Drive in Chandler said absolutely not to all of it.
Arizona’s first Indian drive-through serves a focused menu filled with familiar favorites. You will find butter chicken, chicken tikka masala, chicken curry, chicken korma, paneer tikka masala, and chana masala. Every entrée comes with basmati rice, with naan, sides, and drinks available separately.

I made my first trip through the drive-through on May 16. My husband and I returned during one of his later visits home, so this was not a one-and-done situation.
Tikka Drive Review: What I Ordered
I ordered the butter chicken at medium heat, garlic naan, and a medium iced tea. My bank account confirms the damage came to $22.31.

Was it more than a basic fast-food combo? Sure. Did it feed me three separate times? Also yes.
Three meals, friends.
Suddenly, $22.31 starts looking like some solid dinner math.
The butter chicken was rich, creamy, and packed with flavor. Medium brought enough warmth to keep things interesting without picking a fight with my taste buds. The chicken, sauce, and basmati rice all had the right textures, and every bite felt hearty and satisfying.
Then there was the garlic naan.
Warm, soft, lightly crisp in the right spots, and sturdy enough to scoop up every bit of sauce left in the bowl. No sauce was abandoned on my watch.

I ordered an iced tea to go with everything. It did its job nicely, especially between bites of the rich butter chicken.
The Drive-Through Experience
The drive-through was impressively fast on both visits, especially considering this food does not taste like it spent its afternoon waiting under a heat lamp.
My favorite part came at the pickup window. You could see the staff inside making the naan.

Fresh naan being prepared while I sat in my car felt like a tiny bit of dinner theater. It also gave me more confidence in what I was about to take home. This was not some sad piece of bread being pulled from a plastic bag in the back.
The cashier was friendly and offered to enroll me in Tikka Drive’s loyalty program. Loyalty-program texts often make me brace for a daily avalanche, but this one has been pleasantly low-key. I receive an occasional message about a special or discount, and nothing has felt intrusive.
What It Costs
My butter chicken, garlic naan, and medium iced tea cost $22.31 during my May visit. Prices change, so check the current menu before ordering.
The price sits above a typical drive-through meal, but this is not typical drive-through food. The entrée gave me three meals, the naan tasted fresh, and the entire order felt closer to what I would expect from a full-service Indian restaurant.
For me, the portion size settled the value question quickly.
Is Tikka Drive Worth It?
Yes. An easy yes.
Tikka Drive delivers rich flavor, generous portions, fresh naan, and impressive speed. The butter chicken felt comforting and indulgent, while the drive-through made the entire experience dangerously convenient.
You could grab dinner without leaving your car, take it home, and still have enough left for lunch the next day. In my case, lunch and another lunch.
I returned with Jake after my first visit, which tells you everything you need to know. I would happily go back again.
