Restaurant Opening | This Spot is Going to be Dough-pe : Scoopwell’s Dough Bar

Posted on: March 14th, 2018 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

One of my favorite things about making cookies has nothing to do with the finished product. I’m all about the cookie dough. I have no fear of salmonella or E. coli when I see those fluffy, creamy peaks of cookie dough just before spooning them onto a cookie sheet. A scoop for the pan, a scoop for me. I’ve managed to stay alive so far, so no need to adjust my methods. Until now. Until, Scoopwell’s Dough Bar.

This Spot is Going to be Dough-pe _ Scoopwell's Dough BarIf you happen to have more fear than me, Scoopwell’s Dough Bar takes out all the risk and leaves all that sweet, sweet dough tasting. This unique sweet treat destination will be opening up a permanent location later this year, but you can catch the local husband and wife team at their pop up event next week. You’ll get a taste of the different gourmet cookie doughs they will have for sale.

For only $5 you can get a full regular sized scoop or go for an array of four mini scoops with toppings to sample a variety of flavors. The duo plans on unveiling just a few of their flavors at the special pop-up event and will be revealing the complete menu as they get closer to the shop opening. What flavors can you expect to see? How does chocolate chip, sugar, oatmeal m & m and ginger snap sound? Delicious, right?

You may be wondering how in the world they’ve managed to make cookie dough safe? Science!! You can remove the raw eggs and add in a heat-treated flour and you’re good to go!

Tickets went on sale yesterday and at only $5 a piece they are going to go fast! Will you meet me at Tempe Public Marketplace on March 20th?
