Events | The Ultimate Mac & Cheese Tease: AZ’s First Mac & Cheese Fest

Posted on: July 12th, 2017 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

There is little in the world quite as comforting as a mountainous bowl of ooey, gooey mac & cheese. Though I don’t cook that often, I can make a pretty mean mac & cheese from scratch. I know, I know. I tease all the time about not being very handy in the kitchen, but there are a few things that I am pretty solid at and this heart-warming dish is one of them. If you’re even a little like me you’re going to want to save the date for Arizona’s first Mac & Cheese Fest.

Can you imagine? Booth after booth of cheesy perfection whipped up by your favorite Valley chefs. I know some may think it’s a little unfair to share this so far in advance, but sometimes you really need to prepare yourself for events like this.

You’ll want to perfect your carrying skills.

With all those tasty samples, you’ll need to figure out the best way to carry all those delicious tiny treats!

Master the art of pacing!

With so many restaurants participating in the event, you’ll need to have a strategy. The event is open from noon until 7pm so having a plan will ensure you maximize your time and stomach space! And did I mention that there will be lots of perfectly paired libations? (Make sure you have a DD.)

You’ll also need to find the perfect eating outfit, obviously.

It will need to be something that is comfortable for walking around, indulging in all that gooey goodness as well as taking part in the games on hand. In between bites you’’ be able to play a few rounds of ping pong,
giant jenga or cornhole.

Now, the event isn’t until October 7th, but with National Mac & Cheese day happening in just a few days, the event organizers are feeling all those comfort food good vibes! Starting on Friday, July 14th
and running until Sunday, July 16th you can snag a discounted ticket to the festival online. During this time you’ll be able to snag your tickets for $10 as opposed to $15 just by using the promo code MACCHEESELOVE.

Stay tuned for more delicious details to come, but until then make sure to get your tickets this weekend!
