Leftovers: Chef Created Holiday Inspired Turkey Recipes

Posted on: November 27th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

If your family is anything like mine, there is always someone who cooks too much. I’m the gal that always way overshoots how much pasta we’ll actually eat. I mess up the portions of turkey, prime rib, and any other holiday feast dish. It ends up not being a terrible problem, as we always have a slew of leftovers. If you get to the point where you can’t think of one more way to re-purpose that turkey, our friends at Oroweat have some delicious holiday inspired turkey sandwich recipes for you.

Don’t settle for warmed up turkey and mashed potatoes in the microwave. Whether you prefer a registered dietitian-approved creation like the Holiday Inspired Turkey Grape Salad Sandwich recipe created by registered dietitian Keri Gans or if you want to cook like Top Chef Fabio Viviani with his Turkey, Peas, and Pesto Sandwich, you’re sure to be completely satisfied with the leftover-inspired creations. And lucky for you, we’ve got the complete recipes!

Fabio Viviani's Turkey Peas and Pesto Sandwich

Top Chef’s Fabio Viviani created this punchy sandwich and as soon as I saw the recipe I made a sandwich fro my husband who loved it! The tender, buttery peas create a great base for the sturdy roasted turkey and the pesto and tart onion create an eye-opening flavor combination, so much so that you’ll feel months away from Thanksgiving!

Do you have a favorite way to re-purpose your holiday leftovers? I’d love to hear about them!
