For about the last two months I have been doing Facebook Live videos letting you know my picks for the top four spots you should check out. In order to make sure that no one misses a bite, I thought I should start cross posting – so here we are! I hope you find it helpful!

While there are always a ton of culinary events going on every weekend, I try to suss out the most interesting, fun, or unique events. So here we go!

Four For the Weekend: 11.11.2016 through 11.13.2016

Number oneCooks & Corks

When | Friday, November 11, 2016 from 6:30pm until 9:30pm
Where |Four Seasons Scottsdale | 10600 E. Crescent Moon Drive | Scottsdale | 85262
What | The Valley’s top culinary stars are coming together for an exclusive evening of delightful bites, live music, silent auction, holiday gifts, a 50/50 raffle, and so much more. Mel Mecinas, Joey Cavaretta, Jeremy Pacheco, Todd Allison, and Phillip Keppler are just a few of the notable chefs that will be participating this year.
How Much | General $125 and VIP $175 (allows for early admittance, exclusive bites, VIP lounge access, swag bag and more.)

number-2Holiday Wine & Chocolate Pairing

When | Friday, November 11 and Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 10am until 5pm
Where | Rustic Stuff | 16495 N. Scottsdale Road | Scottsdale | 85260
What | With the holidays quickly approaching, its a great time to figure out the best wines to pair with all those desserts that you’re going to be presented with. Chocolate Stars USA will be hosting a series of tastings and demos led by chocolate makers from around the world. The demonstrations will range from How to Taste Chocolate, Cacao Regions and Flavor Profiles, and From Tree to Bar, each lasting about an hour.
How Much | I have looked and looked and looked and cannot find a cost associated with this event. That doesn’t necessarily mean that there isn’t a cost – just that I can’t find one.

Arizona Pupusas Festival

When | Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 10am until 7pm
Where | Tempe Kiwanis Park | 5500 S. Mill Ave. | Tempe | 85283
What | If your first question is ‘what is a pupusa’, check out this article and then come back. Okay, now that you know what a pupusa is, you’re definitely going to want to check out the festival on Sunday. There will several pupusa booths set up, offering a variety of flavors. On top of all the delicious pupusa creations, there will also be live music, lawn games, desserts, a kid’s zone, and more.
How Much | General admission tickets are $5 before the event and $10 at the door. VIP tickets are available for $60 and will get you access to the event, a t-shirt, three pupusa vouchers, two drink vouchers, and a variety of “I Love Pupusa” goodies. Inside the event you can purchase food/drink tickets for $1 a piece.

number-42016 Slider Throwdown

When | Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 12pm until 3pm
Where | 15205 N. Kierland Blvd. | Scottsdale | 85254
What | The battle of the baby burgers is going down this weekend! Some of the Valley’s best food trucks (think 2 Fat Guys Grilled Cheese, Aioli Gourmet Burgers, Chicken & Waffles For the People and more) will be gathering this weekend and vying for the title of “Best Slider.” This all ages, family-friendly event is going to include (obviously) tons of delicious sliders as well as live entertainment by Rock Lobster and a silent auction with 75 items. The silent auction items range from hotel stays, party packages at Lucky Strike, a ride along with Phoenix PD, Disneyland park hopper passes, and so much more.
How Much | Entry to the event will be $25 per person and will include one slider from each participating vendor. There will be a cash bar available along with non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.

No matter how you opt to spend your weekend, make sure that you have a great time and that you do it safely!
