25 Local Restaurants Serving up Veterans Day Deals

Posted on: November 6th, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Veterans Day, not to be confused with Memorial Day, has been an official national holiday since 1938. This important holiday, which originated in 1919 as Armistice Day, is intended to be a day of paying tribute to all American veterans, living or deceased (with more emphasis on the living), who have served their country honorably during times of war or peace.

The sacrifices that these brave men and women have made, are currently making and in some cases will continue to make are beyond anything that I can possibly comprehend. It’s no surprise that in my incredibly large family, I have many Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that have served in the military. I know that those years of service changed them, in most cases in positive ways, but some have had some lasting effects of their time. I can never thank them and other military service members enough for protecting my and my family’s freedoms. Your service and sacrifices are not lost on me, and not just on Veterans Day.

Some Valley businesses want to show their appreciation as well and have created special deals for our active and retired service members. Please take time on Friday to thank someone
