Fight Hunger When You Visit Chili’s

Chili's joins Waste Not to fight hunger in the ValleyChili’s is committed to helping fight hunger in the Valley, and you can easily help them with their cause.

For the 7th year in a row, all 17 Chili’s Valley locations will host a fundraiser benefitting Waste Not. Waste Not, a local 501 (c)(3) nonprofit, feeds Arizona’s hungry and has been doing so for close to 30 years.

The sad truth is that one in four children go to bed hungry every night and 16.1 percent of Arizonans live in poverty. With two small children of my own, this statistic is heartbreaking. Our local number are greater than the National average of 13.2 percent. Waste Not works hard to ease the struggle for families by transferring 10,000 pounds of perishable food to 100 different agencies – daily!

Chili’s restaurants will donate 15 percent of each dining check from now until the 29th of May. The “Chili’s Gives Back” campaign will also allow guests to contribute to Waste Not by making a donation at the time of their purchase. Over the past 7 years, Chili’s has donated $138,000 to Waste Not. For every dollar donated, Waste Not can feed six hungry people.

Make sure that you visit your local Chili’s to help them fight hunger in the Valley and support Waste Not.
