Donut Flavor Craze Finalists Announced

Last month we told you about the Bashas Donut Flavor Craze Contest and we have received word that the finalists have been named and voting has begun.

Bashas narrowed down the submissions to 13 finalists and I have to say, these kids are crazy creative!! The finalists range in age from seven to 13 and come from all over the Valley.

You can vote for your favorite Donut Flavor Craze submission now through May 29th at 11:59pm, which will help determine the People’s Choice winner.

Cupcake Donut| Gracie M, age 12 from Phoenix
Cupcake inside of a donut

Churro Donut| Jackson Q., age 12 from Phoenix
Churro baked into the donut, covered with glaze, cinnamon, and sugar

Karamello Krunch| Mikaela L., age 11 from Safford
Donut filled with the crunchiness of almonds and pecans and topped with caramel and chocolate syrup

Bananas Foster Fritter| Trinity A., age 13 from Phoenix
Similar to an apple fritter, sliced bananas and banana pudding on the inside while the bumpy exterior is enveloped in a glistening caramel. Beneath the coating is orange zest, cinnamon, dark brown sugar and a little of ground nutmeg sprinkled all around the donut.

Chocolate donut, marshmallow frosting and graham cracker crumbles

Salted Caramel & Pretzel Craze| Rion B., age 8 from Mesa
Chocolate cake donut smothered in caramel frosting topped with caramel drizzle and dusted in salted pretzel bites

Caramel Apple| Ainsley C., age 7 from Scottsdale
Caramel-flavored frosting on top with little pieces of apple baked into the donut

Red Rose Blueberry Donut| Haylee M., age 11 from Safford
Raspberry, Strawberry and blueberry filling with blueberry frosting and rainbow sprinkles

Lemon Raspberry Delight| Julia K., age 12 from Paradise Valley
Original donut filled with raspberry cream and topped with lemon glaze and sprinkled with crushed graham crackers

Malt Shoppe Delight| Trevor P., age 13 from Phoenix
Vanilla raised donut with chocolate malt filling and chocolate icing topped with crushed malt balls

Zombie Donut| Shane R., age 11 from Phoenix
Glazed green frosted donut with red gummy worms coming out of it

Half-Baked Cooke| Abby M., age 12 from Phoenix
Regular donut dough filled with half-baked chocolate chip dough batter and a melted chocolate swirl

Brownie Batter Donut| Michael A., age 10 from Safford
Donut with a brownie inside and chocolate frosting on top
