Celebrate Dr. Seuss’s Birthday at Snooze!
Who doesn’t love a theme? With 2 boys in my house we have a trove of Dr. Suess books and I love it when the boys’ school has Seuss Week – which just so happens to be going on right now to commemorate Dr. Seuss’s birthday. The school celebrates a different book each day of the week and has a corresponding theme.
Keeping with that theme, we wanted to let you know that on Wednesday, March 2nd, Snooze will host a special that will not only honor Dr. Seuss but will also help to support local school libraries. Can you imagine a library without a Dr. Seuss book to start out the love of reading? Me neither!
So gather all the Whos in Whoville and get to Snooze on Wednesday, from 7am until 2:30pm to celebrate the good Dr.’s birthday with their Seuss inspired Green Eggs ‘n Hamwich. The special sandwich will be made up of cage free scrambled eggs with spinach and fresh herbs along with ham and melted Swiss cheese served with a Dijon hollandaise on a fresh ciabatta roll. One dollar from each sandwich purchased will be donated to one of the following local schools:
- Madison Simis Elementary School in Phoenix
- Broadmor Elementary School in Tempe
- Imagine West Gilbert Elementary School in Gilbert
- Arizona Autism Charter School in Scottsdale
As a bonus if you bring in a Dr. Seuss book to donate you’ll receive a free pancake card good to use on your next visit to Snooze.
