Macayo’s Mexican Grill & Cantina Hosts 1st Annual Top Shelf Tequila & Margarita Tasting to Benefit Leukemia Lymphoma Society Chapter in Arizona

Macayo’s Mexican Grill & Cantina will be celebrating Arizona Cocktail Week with their 1st Annual Top Shelf Tequila & Margarita tasting benefit for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society on Sunday, February 21, from 3pm to 8pm, at located at 11107 N. Scottsdale Rd., Scottsdale AZ.  Join us for this exciting new tequila and margarita experience for $40 a person. Macayo’s will be donating 50% proceeds from this first annual tequila and margarita tasting to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society Chapter in Arizona in order to combat cancer and save lives.

According to Sharisse Johnson, CEO of Macayo’s “This Tequila and Margarita tasting is an exciting component to our 2016 Tequila Dinner Series and we are honored for it to be a part of Cocktail Week! The format is unique and will give the community a great way to raise funds for a great cause and enjoy a wonderful Sunday filled with Macayo’s  deliciousness and learn about and enjoy Tequila’s and Margaritas!”

Macayo’s will entertain guests with 9 top shelf tequila samples and 9 handcrafted cocktail samples during the open house taking place from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Each tequila brand will be represented by a personal tequila ambassador that will distribute the tequila samples showcased on their uniquely decorated table displays. While enjoying the variety of tantalizing cocktail flavors, guests will also be able to experience Macayo’s authentic Mexican Chef Inspired appetizers and small bites, including Fried Avocado, Green Chile Pork Stew Mini Chimis, Jicama Shrimp Tacos, Tinga Street Tacos, Rolled Chicken Tacos, Homemade Churros and more!

According to Sharisse Johnson, CEO of Macayo’s Mexican Kitchen, “Tequila has become more of an integral part of the dining experience at Macayo’s, we are excited about our Tequila dinner series and have even added a Tequila window at our Scottsdale location. We feel Tequila is a wonderful component to our adult beverage and preferred liquor program.  I am especially proud of our recent Tequila certification by CONSEJO REGULADOR del TEQUILA for 8 out of our 12 restaurants and over 100 members of our team have this certification! This identifies Macayo’s as one of the few companies with an entire restaurant certification.”
