MAD Greens Partners with PCH

Posted on: January 23rd, 2016 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

As MAD Greens gets ready to open its fifth Valley location early this year in Mesa, this popular fast-casual restaurant has partnered with Phoenix Children’s Hospital to donate $1 from every seasonal Soleri salad sold from February 1 – March 1, 2016. Offered exclusively here in Arizona, the new seasonal Soleri Salad honors Paolo Soleri, one of Arizona’ most influential architects and boasts baby greens, red grapes, figs, slow-roasted chicken, unsweetened chocolate, cotija cheese and MAD Spice avocado tossed with house-made Tabasco® prickly pear vinaigrette. Even tastier, guests ordering the Soleri salad this fall will be directly supporting the PCH Hope Fund, which helps launch critical new programs, purchase essential equipment, conduct cutting-edge research, provide charitable care and much more.

Created by MAD Greens Co-Founder and Chief Culinary Officer, Dan Long, “The Soleri salad’s rich, warm and savory flavors make it the perfect complement to the colder winter months in Arizona.” More important, he says, “Supporting healthy lifestyles and the well-being of local youth have always been near and dear to our hearts, so teaming up with Phoenix Children’s Hospital and helping raise money for their Hope Fund is a perfect fit for us because we’re both working to improve the health of our community.”

We are grateful for MAD Greens’ continued support of Phoenix Children’s,” said Steve SMAD Greens Partners with PCHchnall, the Hospital’s Senior Vice President and Chief Development Officer. “Their commitment to the Hospital shows MAD Greens’ true dedication to improving the well-being of the children in our community, and their support will help us continue to provide the best pediatric healthcare and community outreach programs to families in the Valley and beyond.”

Handcrafted to order by MAD Greens’ salad artists, the Soleri salad showcases the spicy, sun-drenched flavors of Arizona thanks to MAD Greens’ partnership with local famers and purveyors such as Abby Lee Farms, Bella Fresh, Duncan Family Farms, Hickman Farms and Shamrock Dairy. But that’s just the tip of the salad fork when it comes to all the fresh, flavorful food offered at this Colorado-based cult favorite. Specializing in premium made-to-order salads, fresh juices, paninis, wraps and soups, MAD Greens has 18 locations and has earned a cult-like following due to its fresh food and mission to help guests, “eat better.” At MAD Greens, they make all of their salads and dressings from scratch and guests can personally choose all of the ingredients that go into their meal so that their salad is a custom culinary creation. MAD Greens opened its first non-Colorado locations in both Scottsdale and Tempe in June 2015, opened two additional locations in Scottsdale and Phoenix in September 2015, and plans to open additional Valley locations, including its first Mesa restaurant, in early 2016.
