Where to Dine This Christmas in the North Valley

LON’s at the Hermosa

What| Enjoy a holiday feast at the historic Crowne Plaza San Marcos Golf Resort in Chandler, AZ. Make holiday memories with family and friends over a decadent holiday buffet, featuring dishes such as maple and ginger ale-glazed ham, herb encrusted prime rib and a chef-prepared omelet station with all of the traditional holiday accompaniments, along with a crepe station, maple bread pudding and assorted cakes for dessert.

Where to Dine This Christmas in Scottsdale

Paul Martin’s American Grill

What| Paul Martin’s will be offering a special holiday menu, perfect or getting in the spirit of the season. The limited time menu features a seasonal appetizer, entrees, as well as specialty cocktails. Paul Martin’s has even hand selected the ideal wine to complement each dish. Start the meal with a half-pound of Chilled Alaskan King Crab Legs, served with house cocktail sauce and lemon. Pair the crab legs with Roederer Estate Brut. Choose from three different indulgent entrees. The Herb Crusted All Natural Filet Mignon comes with mashed potatoes, Bloomsdale spinach, and garlic confit. Try it with the Pine Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon. The Grilled Lamb Sirloin is paired with wild mushroom farro, Bloomsdale spinach and cipolline onions. A great wine accompaniment is the Dono Dal Cielo Zinfandel. A full pound of Alaskan King Crab Legs come with crispy red potatoes, carrots, drawn butter and lemon. Pair the dish with the Raeburn Chardonnay.
Two specialty holiday cocktails are sure to spread some festive cheer. Scratch-made Egg Nog is a winter favorite crafted from fresh eggs, cream, a dash of nutmeg and a splash of Maker’s Mark Bourbon and Myer’s Dark Rum. The Jack Martin is inspired by a classic 1920s cocktail. Sweet Luxardo Cherries are muddled with fresh lemon juice and then shaken with Laird’s Applejack smooth blended brandy.

What| Taggia is offering a 3 course dinner that is sure to delight all in attendance. First course is your choice of Granchio (warm crab salad) or Zuppa (seafood chowder). Second course is a choice of Risotto with smoked salmon, shrimp, scallops and langoustines or Osso Bucco. For dessert you can opt for Mousse or Biscotti.

The Hash Kitchen

What| Phoenix culinary legend, Tomaso Maggiore will host a “Feast of the Seven Fishes” Christmas Eve lunch and dinner at his latest concept, Vivo! Where to Dine This Christmas ZuZuZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho
Where| 6850 E. Main St., Scottsdale
When| December 25th, 6am until 3pm for brunch and 3pm until 11pm for dinner
What| Head to ZuZu inside the hip Hotel Valley Ho for some Christmas cheer. Savor favorites off the seasonal brunch menu or order the holiday special, Green Corn Tamales topped with red chili sauce and a poached egg. Build a custom drink at the Bloody Mary Mimosa Bar from 9 am to 3 pm. ZuZu’s seasonal dinner menu will feature festive specials including Lobster Bisque with brioche croutons and chive crème fraiche, Slow Roasted Prime Rib with mashed potatoes, roasted brussel’s sprouts, creamy horseradish and au jus, and for dessert choose from a delicious Egg Nog Crème Brulee with raspberry brandy coulis and Pumpkin Cheesecake with cinnamon spiced cream.

Roka Akor

Led by Executive Chef Jason Alford, Roka Akor will be serving a special four-course menu alongside the full Robata Japanese menu on Christmas Eve. Highlighted courses include Pork Belly with Marinated Baby Gold Beets, Charred Octopus Salad with Yuzu Kosho Oil and Plum, Three Piece Chef Selection Sashimi, and Prawn Tempura Chirashi Roll with Yuzu Tobiko. Main dishes include Imperial Domestic Wagyu Striploin with Truffle Aioli and Braised Oxtail Hotpot, Swiss Chard, and Roasted Haruki Turnips. The seasonal dessert is Pumpkin Pie Sundae with Ginger Spice Chantilly.

What| If you don’t feel like whipping up breakfast on Christmas morning, Luci’s will be open early and serving up the Candy Cane Pancakes, which are only available on Christmas day. You can also pick up a last minute bottle of wine or snacks to take to your holiday gathering, you can pick up something unique and fantastic.

Rico’s American Grill

What| Celebrate at the neighborhood, garden-inspired restaurant with a menu of traditional and regional favorites served buffet style including, grilled prime rib of beef, glazed ham, poached salmon, roasted garlic herb potato gratin, winter vegetables, variety of salads, pastas, charcuterie and cheese display, roasted sweet potato and pumpkin soup, and a variety of desserts.

Sierra Bonita Grill

What| On Christmas Eve, Sierra Bonita Grill will be serving two dinner specials for the occasion. The very popular Prime Rib dinner features a 14 oz. prime rib, served with green chile mashed potatoes, horseradish cream and beef au jus. The fresh catch is Pan Seared, Crab Crusted Shrimp and Halibut, with prosciutto-wrapped asparagus, organic heirloom tomato slices, and a saffron-habanero hollandaise. A special holiday cocktail is available for the occasion. The Maple Manhattan features Bulleit Rye Whiskey, maple infused simple syrup, angostura bitters, aztec chocolate bitters, Amaro Nonino, and Sombra Mescal, shaken and served up in a martini glass.
Cost| The Prime Rib dinner is $36 per person and the Fresh Catch dinner is $38 per person, not including tax or gratuity. The Maple Manhattan is only $12 per drink.

Tomaso’s Italian Restaurant

What| Tomaso’s Italian Restaurant, an iconic Italian restaurant in the Biltmore neighborhood by Executive Chef Tomaso Maggiore will host a traditional Italian Christmas Eve lunch and dinner on. With the menu planning done at Tomaso’s, guests will have more time to relax with expertly paired Italian wine and enjoy the holiday at this Valley old favorite. Christmas at T. CooksT. Cook’s at Royal Palms

What| T. Cook’s has you covered for both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with a complete dinner on both days or a holiday buffet on Christmas. Both dinners will be prix-fixe and will include your choice of three courses including Vadouvan Spiced Colorado Lamb Osso Bucco, Roasted Loin of Venison, Pan Roasted John Dory, Wild Arugula and Cranberries Salad and Gingersnap Bread Pudding, warm Chocolate Fruit Cake and more. Different Pointe of View

What| Celebrate Christmas Day with a decadent meal prepared by Executive Chef Anthony DeMuro overlooking the city lights at the AAA Four Diamond Different Pointe of View restaurant. Christmas Dinner will be served buffet-style featuring slow-roasted prime rib, roasted breast of young tom turkey and smoked Berkshire pork loin on the carving and grill stations, served alongside port braised pot roast, pan seared sea bass, roasted yams with cinnamon, maple and clove glaze, sautéed Brussels sprouts, and garlic whipped mashed potatoes from the oven. Christmas Dinner will be served buffet-style featuring herb-crusted prime rib, maple-glazed ham, brined and roasted turkey from the carving board,  and savory from the oven favorites including grilled New Zealand lamb chops, pork loin, dark turkey, seared sea bass, roasted Brussels sprouts, green beans, whipped potatoes, sweet potatoes, cornbread stuffing and more.
