Bambeco Creates Sustainable Beauty

Earth Day this past week got me thinking; why do we only celebrate our planet only once a year? There are so many things that we can be doing, and a lot of you are, to celebrate and preserve our planet. From recycling to using green products and so many things in between, there are many things that we can focus on leaving a better environment for generations to come.

One company that I have recently discovered and subsequently fallen in love with is Bambeco. Bambeco is a company born of a life-changing inspiration. Co-founder, Susan Aplin, witnessed the abuse of our planet by way of a dramatically receding glacier while visiting Alaska and it changed every aspect of how she lived her life. At the time she found it easy to reduce the resources she was using and make impactful changes. When looking at her home she wondered if there was a way to use resources to furnish and decorate her home in a beautiful and impactful way; and soon Bambeco was born. All products are created from reclaimed, re-purposed, renewable, recycled, natural or organic materials creating beautiful and unique products that are as aesthetically pleasing as they are good for our environment.

You’ll find items for every room and space in and out for your home. I found the entertaining pieces the most intriguing, most especially the serving pieces and barware. Their Root Wood pieces range from cheese boards to salad bowls and create not only unique dishes, but conversation pieces.

Bambeco’s Confetti Recycled Glassware Collection (prices range from $6.00 to $28.00) is really something to see. The glassware is created with old soda bottles transformed by skilled artisans into delightful works of art. You’d be hard-pressed to find two glasses that are exactly the same. There are different tones to the color as well as the texture of the glassware. The glassware comes in tumbler, pint, wine, martini or margarita glass versions. You can also purchase shot glasses or a gorgeous pitcher.

I received two margarita glasses and the pitcher and was so impressed. The packaging consisted of all sustainable materials and the glasses were carefully packed and protected to ensure they arrived in one piece. I was so surprised by how much more stunning the glass work was in person. The collection really is perfect for entertaining, it made me feel like having a party just looking at them, not to mention once they were filled with refreshing margaritas!

So, while you are working on reducing your carbon footprint, why not do so while leaving a beautiful impression that influences others and leaves a legacy for a lifetime?
