Family-friendly Easter fun at The Westin Kierland

Posted on: March 20th, 2013 by Amy Martin No Comments

Easter is less than two weeks away and whether you’re planning a kiddie, fun-filled holiday or spending the Sunday alone with your significant other, The Westin Kierland Resort has plenty of Easter festivities for kids and adults.

On Easter Sunday, March 31st, the resort will host their annual Easter Egg-stravaganza (a really fun event that draws in both resort guests and locals all around the Valley for its reputation) packed with fun activities for kids of all ages… even little tikes.

The morning kicks off at 9am at the resort’s outdoor Marshall’s Pavilion where guests will enjoy activities like a petting zoo (I know a tiny person who is thrilled about this!!), tethered hot air balloon rides (fancy, eh?), bounce houses, face-painting, organized games, arts and crafts and more surprises.

The Easter Egg Hunt will be kicked off by the Easter Bunny’s grand entrance via helicopter. The first hunt is the Little Tots Hunt (ages 2-5) at 10am and Easter egg “race” immediately following as thousands of Easter eggs will be “hidden” all over one of the Kierland Golf Courses’ fairways.

If you’re looking for something a bit more ‘grown up’, check out the Easter Champagne Brunch offered from 10am-4pm in the resort’s gorgeous Trailblazer’s Ballroom, with floor-to-ceiling views of the golf course and McDowell Mountains. (Don’t worry if you have your tiny people in tow… kids are welcome too!)

The brunch menu offers an incredible amount of breakfast and lunch dishes including breakfast stations with fresh pastries and made-to-order omelets, a smoked salmon table, carving stations with cashew-dusted leg of lamb and slow-roasted prime rib, seafood and sushi stations with jumbo gulf shrimp and Alaskan crab legs, plenty of desserts and even a station for kid-approved food. Check out the menu here, because there’s plenty more to whet your appetite.

Cost to attend the Easter Champagne Brunch is $75 per adult and $25 per child, ages 5-12. Children 4 and under eat free. Make your reservations by calling 480-624-1202
