Bocce Brewhaha is back!

Posted on: September 11th, 2012 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

The Beer for Brains Foundation is at it again with the 7th Annual Bocce Brewhaha Fundraiser & Tournament set for Friday-Saturday, September 14-15, 2012 at the Wigwam Resort.

Let’s get this straight — one of the world’s oldest team sports with craft beer, food and a costume competition, that also supports brain cancer awareness and research? Sounds like an amazing time!

Bocce may be America’s newest sport, but it is one of the world’s oldest games evolving from its early days in 5000 BC when the sport was played with round rocks, coconuts and other heavy, round objects. Taking the spirit of the game to the next level, the 7th Annual Bocce Brewhaha Fundraiser & Tournament will span two days and participants will dress up in fun team costumes for a chance to win prizes!

Food, beer and prizes are provided by Dogfish Head Brewery, Young’s Market and the Beer for Brains Foundation. There will also be Redstone Mead brews and other select craft beer available.

A percentage of the proceeds from the tournament will benefit brain cancer research programs.

Special room rates at the Wigwam are available for only $99 per night with no resort fees for any registered Bocce Brewhaha participant. Visit bfbf.org for more information and to purchase tickets online. Use promo code B4BF to book a room at the Wigwam Resort online or by calling 888-807-7395.
