Take the fuss out of your High Holy Days meals

Posted on: September 10th, 2012 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is the first of the High Holy Days or Yamim Nora’im (“Days of Awe”). This is traditionally a time of family celebration that centers around an amazing holiday dinner comprised of traditional dishes. This year, you can opt to spend hours in the kitchen or you can lean on our friends at Chompie’s for an authentic, made-from-scratch meal without all that fuss!

Three of Chompie’s Phoenix area restaurants will be serving a traditional Rosh Hashanah Dinner on Sunday, September 16th between 5-8pm. Reservations are now being accepted at the Phoenix/PV Mall, Scottsdale, and Chandler locations. (The regular dining menu with holiday favorites will be available at Chompie’s Tempe location.)

The holiday menu includes starters plus your choice of appetizer, entrée, sides, soup and dessert—with favorites such as apples and honey, house-made chopped liver, gefilte fish, potato latkes, roasted chicken with honey apricot reduction, tender braised brisket of beef, Chompie’s famous chicken soup with matzo ball and much more. This holiday dine-in meal is just $26.95 per adult, $12.95 per child (10 & under). Special 4- and 8- person complete holiday dinners are also available for take-out, as are all of Chompie’s holiday a la carte selections and bakery favorites. Place your Rosh Hashanah Take-Out Menu order of $100 or more by Monday, September 10th and get a FREE fresh-baked honey or sponge cake.

The Jewish High Holidays season begins at sundown on Rosh Hashanah (9/16) and ends with Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement (9/26). On Chompie’s Break the Fast Yom Kippur Take-Out Menu, you’ll find a wide variety of holiday favorites for your celebration at home—from smoked fish, homemade deli salads, and holiday pastries to bagels and blintzes. All Chompie’s locations will be open on Yom Kippur, September 26th. Place your Break the Fast Yom Kippur to-go order of $100 or more by Wednesday, September 19th and get a free Honey or Sponge Cake.
