Get schooled at RA Sushi

Posted on: June 21st, 2012 by Taryn Jeffries No Comments

Summer can be rough, whether you are trying to figure out how to entertain your kids or yourself. As a mom I know that it’s officially summer when I hear those dreaded words from my seven year old, “Mommy, I’m bored!” It can definitely be a challenge trying to figure out something interesting to do that doesn’t involve being outside. Don’t get me wrong, the pool is great, but sometimes you need to mix it up with something fun and interesting.

This weekend, on June 24th, RA Sushi will be hosting their first ever Sushi 101 Class. While school is out for the summer, RA reminds us that you should never stop learning. From 11:30am-1:30pm, RA’s talented chefs will be giving a crash course in the art of sushi rolling.

Throughout the interactive class, participants will learn about the history of sushi, test their skills in the art of sushi rolling, and enjoy an assortment of tasty appetizers and fresh sushi. The class is $35 per person and includes sushi rolling lessons, a non-alcoholic beverage, miso soup, edamame, two maki (rolls), two pieces of nigiri, a sushi rolling mat to take home, and a voucher good for a complimentary lunch on a return visit.

This would be a really fun way to keep the kids busy and entertained…as well as fed! No kids, no worries! This is a great event for any sushi lover. Bring the girls, guys, parents…a great opportunity for everyone to get out of the heat and have some really good food and get educated all at the same time!

Registration is required. Call 480-303-9800 or email tempe@rasushi.com to make a reservation. For more information, visit Facebook.com/RASushiArizona.
