Upcoming events at The Saguaro

Posted on: April 24th, 2012 by Amy Martin No Comments

The team at The Saguaro has quite the event calendar planned! This Wednesday, April 25th, Distrito will host a winemaker dinner with Catena Winery of Mendoza, Argentina. The evening will begin at 6:30pm with a reception followed by a five course meal, each course paired with a special wine. The winery owner will be traveling in from Argentina to comment on the pairings. The dinner is priced at $65 per person and space is limited. Check out the menu here… looks fantastic, eh?

On May 5th, head in to Old Town Whiskey for the Kentucky Derby Dandy Party (personally, I cannot wait for this!) – dress up in your best and watch the races while enjoying $5 Mint Juleps, $5 Kentucky Hot Brown Sliders and Thoroughbred Pie. Prizes will be awarded for the best dressed (1920’s Gatsby, 1930’s Glamour or 1940’s spiv), table-top horse racing, cabernet ladies and a ‘betting’ booth to win a one-night stay. View the flyer here.

If you’re not feeling quite as dandy, hang out at Distrito all day on the 5th for Cinco de Milagro. Enjoy $5 margaritas and $2 Tecate all day, a special $35 chef tasting menu with $15 tequila paring, a DJ, mariachis and more. They are even building a wrestling ring where your favorite luchadores will battle it out from 2pm-6pm. Reservations are recommended. View the Cinco de Milagro flyer here.

And don’t forget – every Saturday at midnight, Old Town Whiskey now offers a complimentary Midnight Feast. Stop in for an order of Chef Garces’ fried chicken wings on the house!
