Easter 2012 Dining Guide

Easter 2012 is right around the corner and you know what that means – time to make brunch plans! Whether you’re dining out this year with friends, your significant other, or taking the whole family along, we’ve rounded up some of the Valley’s standout Easter offerings for any group. Our list includes a few of our own favorite local gems and their holiday celebrations including Different Pointe of View’s Easter brunch buffet featuring carving and grill stations with slow-roasted prime rib and grilled lamb chops, and a medley of seafood including snow crab claws, little neck clams and more. Rico’s American Grill at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak offers fun for the whole family with their Easter Brunch offering made-to-order omelets, pancakes and French toast, a “little Italy pasta station” and more. Afterward, the River Ranch turns into a full petting zoo for children of all ages from 10am-1pm. ZuZu at the Hotel Valley Ho is serving Easter Brunch this year and featuring their regular menu with the addition of a few special entrees and a Bloody Mary Bar.

Be sure to make your reservations timely as many of these restaurants are expected to fill up quickly.

  • Arizona Biltmore | Easter Brunch Celebration

When: April 8, 10am-3pm
Where: The Arizona Biltmore’s Frank Lloyd Wright Ballroom in Phoenix
Details: Served in the Frank Lloyd Wright Ballroom, the morning begins with Mimosas and Gingered Sparklers followed by a buffet that includes a multitude of options: fruit, sweet pastries, smoked fish and bagels, an omelet and egg station, cinnamon raisin French toast, a selection of breakfast entrees, an iced seafood display, an antipasti bar, hand-crafted and carved cheese station, salads tossed to order, specialty salads, entrees ranging from prime rib and leg of lamb to crispy crab cakes and honey mustard lacquered salmon filet, rustic breads, an ice cream Sundae bar, and a slew of cakes, pies and pastries.   • Arrowhead Grill | Easter Brunch

When: April 8, 10am-3pm
Where: Arrowhead Grill in Glendale
Details: The Easter menu created by Chef Charles Wade Schwerd is a selection of his finest creations complete with flavorful starters and sides designed to enhance each experience. Entrees include a choice of Eggs Benedict, Half rack of New Zealand Lamb or half a roast chicken, an 8-ounce Prime Rib, 10-ounce Delmonico steak, a 7-ounce Filet Mignon wrapped in Applewood bacon, Atlantic salmon or swordfish or a 16-ounce pork tenderloin and pork chop. Chef Charles Wade Schwerd’s special menu will start with a choice of spring salad, summer salad, Caesar salad, ambrosia salad, or New England style clam chowder. Details: Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers will donate 100 percent of its profits from both Phoenix locations on April 8to Child Crisis Center. The month of April is child abuse prevention month and Child Crisis Center is committed to preventing child abuse and neglect. A McClendon’s Farm insalata action station will feature organic greens with house-made salad dressings and assorted toppings. Guests will enjoy a choice of entrees including rotisserie leg of lamb with English pea risotto, Merguez sausage and roasted tomato with Pecorino cheese; monte cristo with Manchego prosciutto accompanied with a San Daniele-strawberry rhubarb compote; pork shoulder hash with duck fat Yukon Gold potatoes, sunny-up farm eggs; house-smoked trout on sea salt flat bread with parsley oil, ceci beans, lemon-herb crème fraîsche; and a  Hickman’s Farm egg omelet with mozzarella di bufala, Campari tomatoes, chives and crispy Yukon Gold potatoes. A dessert grand buffet will feature Easter egg cookies, Easter chocolate eggs filled with assorted mousses, New York cheesecake, lemon meringue pie, tiramisu, carrot cake and much more.   • ZuZu | Easter Brunch

When: April 8, 6am-3pm
Where: ZuZu at Hotel Valley Ho in Scottsdale
Details: Easter Sunday, ZuZu will serve Easter Brunch from 6am-3pm, featuring the regular menu. Special entrees will be served in addition, from 11am-3pm – a Lobster & Crab Salad Sandwich ($16) and Smoked Salmon Quiche ($14). Diners may also enjoy the Bloody Mary Bar from 9am-5pm, where they can make their own cocktail. Dinner will be served from 5:30pm-10pm. The regular menu will be offered in addition to a special — Slow-Roasted Herb-Crusted Prime Rib with Yukon gold mashed potatoes, brussels sprouts, creamy horseradish and au jus ($27). The annual Easter Egg Hunt will start at 9:00 a.m. on the ZuZu patio; participants should meet under the pink and purple balloons. Prizes will be awarded to those who collect the most eggs, and to the lucky child that finds the golden egg. Those interested in participating can RSVP at 480-421-7710.
