Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill Opens at Tempe Marketplace November 1st

Tomorrow, November 1st, Thirsty Lion Pub and Grill, deemed an ‘upscale casual gastro style pub and grill’, opens its first Arizona location at Tempe Marketplace. The interior will feature wood-paneled walls, modern lighting and 15 60-inch plasma TVs.

Offering a variety of 52 local craft, import and domestic beers on draft, Thirsty Lion Pub prides itself on having a beer on hand for every plate and ever palate. Specialty cocktails will also be available, utilizing combinations of fresh fruit purees, juices and premium liquors.

As for the plates, the menu boasts items like gourmet burgers, artisan brick oven pizzas, fresh salads, sandwiches and more.

Standout appetizers include: Bacon Wrapped BBQ Prawns (Grilled with Newcastle BBQ Sauce, Napa slaw and grain mustard vinaigrette|$11.95) and the Spicy Tuna Roll (Ahi tuna, seared rare with sriracha aioli, cilantro, green onion and sesame seeds |$9.95)

Menu items also include: Oven Roasted Lamb Shank (White cheddar mashed potatoes, rosemary-mint chimichurri and lamb demi | $18.95), Roasted Artichoke & Spinach Pizza (Kalamata olives, basil pesto, red onion, peperoncini, roasted garlic, feta, fontina and provolone |$12.95), the NW Pub Burger (Gorgonzola infused burger with grilled sweet onion, maple pepper bacon, white cheddar, arugula and horseradish cream | $11.95), and the I.P.A. Beer Battered Fish & Chips (Crispy fried with Napa slaw, lemon caper tartar sauce and hand-cut fries | $12.95).
