Taste of the Nation Hosts 5-course Dinner and Mixology Competition on Friday May 13th

Posted on: May 10th, 2011 by Amy Martin No Comments

Friday, May 13th, Taste of the Nation comes to the Valley to host an unforgettable, 5-course dinner (with wine/cocktail pairings for each course) and a cocktail competition featuring 14 local mixologists.

The event is a part of a series of culinary events organized by Share Our Strength, raising funds that support the No Kid Hungry™ campaign to end childhood hunger in America by 2015. Find out exactly how they use the money they raise here.

This year, the Taste of the Nation dinner will be held at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. Admission is between $100-$200 ($200 for VIP that includes exclusive early-access to the mixology competition, the ability to request to be seated at the table of restaurant of their choice -based on availability-, and an extra-swanky take home gift bag).

General admission guests are invited to arrive at 5:30pm for the cocktail party and competition to taste cocktails from over 14 local mixologists and vote for their favorite. The 5-course dinner will begin at 6:30pm. Each table of 10 will be hosted by a different local restaurant, each with a unique menu. General admission guests won’t know which table/cuisine they’ll be enjoying until they arrive on Friday – the suspense is half the fun! This is an event that is not to be missed.
