Friday, February 18th

• 6pm – Taste of Tops – $10

Head out to this special event prior to the Great Arizona beer Festival: Friday, February 18 at Taste of Tops in Tempe, AZ, certified beer judges will choose the finalists in the Great Arizona Beer Festival beer judging event. Final round judging happens Friday, February 25 at Sun Devil Liquors in Mesa, AZ. Winners announced on stage at the Great Arizona Beer Festival, Saturday March 5. Tickets are $10 for each event. Saturday, February 19th

• All Day – Arizona Beer Week 2011

Arizona Beer Week kicks off on Saturday, February 19th and continues through Saturday, February 26th. View all of Saturday’s events at: arizonabeerweek.com.

• 2pm – Tea for Teal – $60

The Anne Rita Monahan Foundation has organized this benefit event supporting ovarian cancer research. The Tea for Teal event, a traditional English tea and raffle, will be held at the Sheraton Downtown Phoenix at 2pm. Proceeds benefit the Translational Genomics Research Institute. Your support helps fund research in the early-stage drug-resistance of ovarian cancer, which will help scientists find a reliable early screening tool and better drug treatments. Sunday, February 20th

• All Day – Arizona Beer Week 2011

Arizona Beer Week kicks off on Saturday, February 19th and continues through Saturday, February 26th. View all of Sunday’s events at: arizonabeerweek.com.

• 5:30-7:30pm – Honey, I Glazed the Salmon! Cooking Class at Luci’s – $39.99

In our ongoing pursuit of healthy choices for the New Year, Luci’s Healthy Marketplace is proud to offer classes that will make a difference to you!  Learn how to make a flavorful salmon with honey glaze, rice pilaf and lightly sautéed vegetables.  Chef  Michael Tardibuono will show you that you can eat well and not sacrifice flavor or satisfaction in the process.  Dessert will include a Greek yogurt parfait with honey and fresh berries. • 6pm – Mead Dinner with Redstone Meadery at Trader Vic’s – $50

Trader Vic’s is hosting a Mead Dinner on Sunday, February 20th in honor of Arizona Beer Week (February 19-26). The evening will start at 6pm with a reception of passed hors d’oeuvre including foie gras and smoked salmon enhanced by boysenberry nectar, followed by a four-course dinner and mead pairings, with everything overseen by Executive Chef Justin Pfeilsticker.
