Seasons 52 Fresh Grill and Wine Bar has opened

Posted on: October 25th, 2010 by Amy Martin No Comments

Seasons 52 opened its doors today at Biltmore Fashion Park.  The award-winning restaurant offers guests a fresh dining experience, with a menu and concept that is “right for the times”. The restaurant is known for its seasonally inspired menu and guarantees that only the highest quality of fresh food is served, with nothing on the menu more than 475 calories. They use natural cooking methods, like open-fire and mesquite grilling and stone hearth roasting to give the food a great flavor without added fats and heavy sauces. You’ll never find butter in their kitchen!

I know what you’re thinking… 475 calories, this can’t be amazingly delicious. But, oh how it is (and I’m a big butter fan)! I had the opportunity to indulge in a preview of their menu. I tasted a few of their flatbreads as well as entrees and those delicious desserts they call “Mini Indulgences”.  There was not one thing lacking in flavor… I was left wanting more of every dish.

Not only does the menu offer ‘smart’ dishes, but they won’t break your wallet either. Most of the dinner entrees are priced under $20, but with the quality of the food and intimacy of the atmosphere, it’s still a fine dining experience.

My favorite: Try the Cedar Plank Roasted Salmon for lunch or dinner. The salmon is served with whole-roasted sweet carrots, fresh asparagus and red bliss potatoes and is priced at $17.95. It’s absolutely delicious and something not to be passed up.

For dessert, try one (or more, believe me, you’ll want more!) of their Mini Indulgences – individual servings of classic desserts for $2.50 a piece. You’ll find favorites like Key Lime Pie, Old-Fashioned Carrot Cake, Pecan Pie over Vanilla Mousse, Chocolate Peanut Butter Mousse, Meyer Lemon Pound Cake, Mocha Macchiato, Belgian Chocolate Rocky Road, and Pumpkin Pie with Ginger Snap Crust. The Mocha Macchiato is by far my favorite – a must try!

The Seasons 52 wine list is hand selected by George Miliotes, Master Sommelier, who is the 152nd Master Sommelier in the world. On the wine list, you’ll find a list at the top of the menu featuring wines that George recommends drinking before they become famous. A nice little tip, eh?

Seasons 52 also offers vegetarian, vegan, garlic-free and gluten-free menus.
