Cupcake Love-In event brings cupcake-lovers together on 10.10.10

Posted on: September 7th, 2010 by Amy Martin 3 Comments

Who doesn’t love cupcakes? Because of the recent cupcake hype, we’ve been surrounded by what we like to call “The Cupcake Movement”. Phoenix, especially, has many bakeries and pastry shops, but until now, there has never been an event to celebrate (solely) THE CUPCAKE!

Cupcake lovers and enthusiasts are invited to gather at Hotel Valley Ho on Sunday, October 10, 2010, for the 1st Annual Cupcake Love-In. Tickets are just $10 per person (in advance, $15 at the door) and children under 6 are free!

Cupcake Love-In activities will feature:

  • Cupcake sampling from local bakeries, cupcakeries, restaurants and pastry chefs
  • Cupcake Judging Competition
  • Kidʼs Decorating Station
  • Cupcake Eating Contest
  • Photo Booth
  • Great Raffle and Door Prizes
  • Locals Only Phoenix Webcast

Cupcake-Love In was created by two pastry chefs, Kelly Garcia of Butter & Me and Tracy Dempsey of Tracy Dempsey Originals to highlight local bakeries that may often be overlooked and to bring the community together for a day of sweetness and fun! The event will benefit Singleton Moms, a non-profit organization that supports single mothers who are battling breast cancer, and Safe Haven for Animals, a non-profit Phoenix animal shelter.

Cupcake Love-In T-shirts are available for $15 and can be purchased on the event’s website. Be sure to wear yours on the day of the event and receive $5.00 in raffle tickets. Tickets may also be purchased on the website by clicking here.
