Scotch Tasting Dinner at The Henry

The Henry’s The Henry Edrington Scotch DinnerExecutive Chef Chris Wolven has created an inviting seven course dinner that will match up perfectly with the  Edrington Scotch pairings planned for the evening. You’ll have the opportunity to not only to enjoy some exemplary cuisine, but also to learn about the development of the dishes as well as the cocktails through interaction with both Chef Wolven and The Henry’s Director of Beverage, Mat Snapp.

There will be two dinners scheduled for Tuesday, July 29th as well as Wednesday, July 30th. Both dinners will begin at 7 pm and cost $85 per person.

 

The Bites

  • Amuse| Oysters on the half shell; lemon gelee, vanilla oyster liquor
  • First| Chorizo pull aparts: charred scallion, roasted garlic aioli
  • Second| Chilled tomato consomme: pickled fennel, cold poached shrimp, scotch glaze
  • Third|Country duck pate: peach marmalade, crushed pistachio, bacon, duck fat biscuit
  • Fourth| Black pepper crusted lamb: dauphinoise potatoes, braised leeks, watercress salad
  • Fifth| Cheese & oats: fourme d’ambert, traditional Scottish oat cake
  • Dessert| Olive oil cake: lemon & thyme sorbet

The Booze

  • First| “All Smooth Sailing”; Cutty Sark Prohibition, cinnamon-tinted honey, fresh lemon
  • Third|Duchess De Bourgogne Flander’s red sour – The Duchesse
  • Fourth| “A Port in the Storm”: Black Grouse, tobacco spiced tawny port, candied peppercorn
  • Dessert| Whiskey Social: A surprise guest from the Erdington Portfolio

The Bucks

The cost of the dinner is $85 per person, not including tax or gratuity.
