Peering through the murky fog, zombies are gradually inching closer and closer … to taking over the “Nightmare on Princess Drive.” This indoor/outdoor nightspot, in the plaza of the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess, is the perfect place to enjoy our fall weather and a ghostly, glamorous Halloween bash.
This year’s supernatural theme is “Quarantined: The Zombie Apocalypse,” where the walking dead are invading The Plaza Bar, quarantined by a chain link fence, caution tape, flickering lights, zombie warning signs and overgrown vines; party-goers enter at their own risk. DJ Pulse will mix the best lounge and dance music, setting the stage for wandering corpses and a Halloween costume contest at the bewitching hour of midnight.
Zombies will serve enticing concoctions ($14) including:
Corpse Reviver #2 – Made with equal parts ¾ oz. gin, Cointreau, Lillet Blanc and lime juice. To make at home, combine all ingredients and shake well. Double strain into a martini glass that has an absinthe rinse. Garnish with a lemon peel.
Creepy Nights – Made with 1 ½ oz. bourbon, ¾ oz. lemon juice, ¾ oz. of red wine and ½ oz. of simple syrup. Combine all ingredients except red wine and shake well. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice and pour red wine to float on top.
Admission to the party is complimentary.  Ghouls can R.I.P. and comfort with a reserved table and bottle service by calling 480-585-2694.  The Plaza Bar opens at 7 p.m., with the party starting in at 9 pm, and is located at the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess at 7575 East Princess Drive in Scottsdale.
