2016 Cinco De Mayo Celebrations in the Valley

Cinco De Mayo at Blanco Tacos & TequilaBlanco Tacos + Tequila

Happy Hour at Blanco means $3 tacos, $3 nachos, $4 tortas and $5 margaritas. Happy hour drink prices will begin at 11am until 6pm. Happy hour food prices will kick in at 3pm and go until 6pm. Make sure you don’t miss their $10 Margarita of the Month, the Prickly Pear Margarita.

Cinco De Mayo at Eklectic PieEklectic Pie Chandler

Details: Eklectic Pie will be serving up $5 pizzas (any pizza, any size) and $2 beers. It’s the perfect time to try their newest pie, the Mexican Fiesta—a 10-layered pizza that includes salsa, refried beans, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, grilled chicken, onion, black olives, tomatoes, jalapeño, crushed tortilla chips, and finished with sour cream.

Eklectic Pie Mesa

Details: Eklectic Pie will be serving up $5 pizzas (any pizza, any size) and $2 beers. Details: Tacos not your thing? Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with pizza! All day on May 5th, locally owned fast-casual pizza and salad restaurant, Fired Pie, is offering up their Spicy Southwest Pizza for just $5! Enjoy Chipotle ranch sauce, Mozzarella, Grilled chicken, Roasted peppers, onions, black olives, jalapeno topped with mixed greens tossed with cilantro and ranch dressing. No additional toppings permitted on the pizza to score the $5 deal.

Los Sombreros

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo at Los Sombreros with 5 appetizers and 5 drinks priced at $5 each. You can enjoy $5 margaritas, mojitos, sangria or house red or white wine. Your $5 appetizers range from chips with salsa and guacamole, 3 crispy tacos, corn cake soufflé, fig and panela cheese salad or a watermelon and panela cheese salad.

Macayo’s Mexican Kitchen
When: Sunday, May 1st through Thursday, May 5th
Where: All Valley Macayo’s locations
Details: Each Macayo’s location will celebrate with unique various entertainment, anything from live music, piñatas, face painters, balloon artists, and more to make the celebration special. There will also be drink and food specials like $5 Margarita De Macayos, $8 Patron Margaritas, $4 Dos XX beers. You can also get their special Enchiladas Bandito, an enchilada that is representative of the Mexican flag‘s colors with a red chile enchilada, green chile pork stew enchilada, and a fresh spinach enchilada for only $9.99.

Cinco De Mayo at Miracle Mile DeliMiracle Mile Deli

Details: It’s “Cinco de Mile” at Miracle Mile Deli on May 5th! The locally owned restaurant is serving up a plate of Chicken Enchiladas covered with red sauce and served with a side of beans. The meal deal is just $9 and available all day. Wash it all down with an ice-cold Corona—also available for purchase! Miracle Mile Deli has been a staple in the Valley for 66 years.

O.H.S.O. Eatery + Nano-Brewery

Details: Come celebrate Cinco de (Barko) Mayo at this local, hip dog-friendly spot! Bring your pup down for a racing contest, dog prizes, and treats. 1st Place- $50 towards either a Bath or Groom Service of Choice. 2nd Place- Puppy Deli Treat Basket. 3rd Place- Free Nail Trim ($8-$10 Value) Puff & Fluff and O.H.S.O. will donate 20% of your total bill to local rescue SNIFF if “Puff & Fluff” is mentioned to your wait staff.

Paul Martin’s American Grill
When: Wednesday, May 4th and Thursday, May 5th

Details: On May 4 and May 5, Paul Martin’s American Grill be offering two special dishes created for the occasion. The Shrimp Campechana ($9) is a fresh bay shrimp Mexican cocktail accompanied by salted corn tortilla chips. The Mesquite Grilled Poblano Chile Relleno ($13) is filled with sweet corn, shitake mushrooms, zucchini, spinach, and cheese and served with red pepper cream and cilantro. Also, during happy hour from 3 to 7 p.m. in the bar area and on the patio, enjoy two different cocktails that pair perfectly with these dishes. The Corralejo Strawberry Splash ($9) features strawberry infused Corralejo Blanco tequila, Cointreau liqueur, muddled strawberries, fresh lemon juice, and housemade cane syrup. The Peligroso Blanco Margarita ($9) is a mix of Peligroso Blanco tequila and housemade sweet and sour, hand shaken and served on the rocks with a salted rim.

Details: RnR will celebrate Cinco de Mayo, Thursday, May5, in style with $5 margaritas and ½ off tacos all day long. Guests can sip on a refreshing margarita and choose from RnR’s selection of gourmet tacos including Ahi, Veggie, and Chicken Tacos.

Sandbar Chandler

Details: Sandbar Chandler will get the party started on Cinco de Sandbar Weekend with live bands and DJs all weekend long (Thursday, May 5- Saturday, May 7th). Plus, on Saturday, May 7th, both locations will be showing the Canelo vs. Kahn fight from Las Vegas.

Sandbar Desert Ridge

Sandbar Desert Ridge will get the party started on Cinco de Sandbar Weekend with live bands and DJs all weekend long (Thursday, May 5- Saturday, May 7th). Plus, on Saturday, May 7th, both locations will be showing the Canelo vs. Kahn fight from Las Vegas.

Sierra Bonita Grill

Details: In celebration of Cinco de Mayo, on May 5, Sierra Bonita Grill will be offering two of its popular, made-to-order, fresh margaritas for only $5 all day long. From open to close, Sierra Bonita Grill’s Fresh Squeezed Margarita and Pomegranate Margarita will be $5, available throughout the entire restaurant. The traditional Fresh Squeezed Margarita features reposado tequila, orange liqueur, fresh squeezed lime juice, and agave nectar. The Pomegranate Margarita is a mix of pomegranate liqueur, reposado tequila, orange liqueur, a splash of orange juice, and homemade sweet and sour mix. During lunch from 11 a.m. to  3 p.m., Sierra Bonita Grill will also be offering five lunch specials for only $10 each. A variety of southwestern-inspired dishes will be served, including Chicharron Potato Taquitos, Chipotle Chicken Street Tacos, Red Chile Pork Tostadas, the SBG Sonoran-style Hot Dog, and a Green Chile Quesadilla.

Cinco De Mayo at SOL CocinaSOL Cocina

Details: Since it’s Cinco it only makes sense that SOL Cocina is celebrating by offering five caliente deals! $5 – Taco Vampiro, $5 – Taco Gobernador, $5 – Naked Guacamole, $5 – House Margarita made with El Jimador Tequila and $5 – Watermelon Margarita made with El Jimador Tequila. The specials will be happening all day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. There will also be a photo booth from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and live music with Scott Hallock.

SumoMaya

Details: The part at SumoMaya starts with all day happy hour pricing in the bar. You can also bring in your pesos! The first 100 people who bring in at least 5 pesos can pay for their Casamigos Margarita with the Mexican currency (limit 2 margaritas purchased with pesos per person). There will also be a DJ spinning tunes all night.

Cinco De Mayo at Taco GuildTaco Guild

Details: This Cinco de Mayo is all about good tacos! Visit Taco Guild in Phoenix for $1.99 Cochinita Pibil Tacos—infused with Roger cline Tequila. Cochinita is pork shoulder and Pibil is a cooking technique that involves wrapping pork in banana leaves, marinating it in sour orange and annatto– a sweet, slightly peppery red sauce made from annatto seed, a plant found in the tropics – and baking it in a hand-dug barbecue pit in the ground for several hours. The meat becomes tender and flaky, with a subtly smoky flavor. As if that isn’t enough, $3.00 Negro Modello and $5.50 Roger Cline tequila cocktails will also be available. Make up your own Roger Cline cocktail for a chance to have your drink featured on the menu until next Cinco de Mayo! There will be live entertainment.

Z’Tejas

Details: Are you ready to take on the Habanero Inferno Taco Challenge on Cinco de Mayo? Order a plate of specially made fiery Z’Tejas Street Tacos. One of the four tacos is made with the hottest sauce in the world—but you won’t know which one! If you can eat all four tacos and complete the challenge you will get $5 off the normally $12 meal (excludes any happy hour priced tacos). While there, cool down with $5 Dulce Vida ‘Ritas and $3 Coronas all day on Cinco de Mayo.
